WTB: Shimano Front Der/Left 2x shifter

After hoarding old random shifters for years I finally junked a bunch of shit only to now need an a shifter with a bar clamp for a left/front 2x XTR mech. The one I have mounts to a Shimano brake and I'm now running SRAM brakes. The stupid Problem Solvers adapters are like $50 bucks. Someone else is hoarding one of these shifters WITH a bar clamp I'm sure.

I am open to creative ideas as mentioned in the Ask The Experts thread. Is there such thing as a top tube mounted 2x shifter? I will rarely need to actually shift from the granny to the normal running gear and the bar on this bike is incredibly crowded already with dropper post and both front and rear shock lockouts.

    Thanks!

My vague recollection is that sram and shimano had compatible cable pull ratios for front derailleurs, so you might be able to use a sram shifter with the shimano derailleur and be ok (which would solve your bar mount issue).

Damn if that's the case I bet the homies at my local shop have old Sram shifter collecting dust in the parts room they would let me have for super cheap.

I think I have an old XT thumb shifter that can be switched between SIS and index for FD. I’ll see if I can find it.

Thanks bunion. Just now seeing this. Got a brand new one at Bangtail for $20 a couple days ago. Works like a dream.
