    Runners vests

They are everywhere! Two days ago, I saw Dutch tourists boarding the gondola with it.
The last years it was a statement of: I don’t hike around, I am fast and my passion is driven by time, vert and speed. Now it is a must have accessory for mountain activities.

My initial thought cool to have if you run uphill. Now I just laugh inside me.
Ok trailrunning is booming here. But mostly I see them walking : )

I know it is tech talk jong. But I just want to flame those mountain runners!

I do a fair amount of running and I have yet to wear a vest. I do have one that my buddy gave me, but I just haven't bothered. I'm lucky and we have a good trail system for road running with water fountains and stores near by. I normally do trail running on trails that I maintain and ride with my bike on, so I will stash water and cokes in the woods for when I come back on foot. I ran a marathon the other week and laughed at all the people with vests, there were water/aid stations at least every 5 kms.

Well, they are a comfortable way to carry things.

Definitely pointless to wear a vest during an organized race with frequent aid stations.

Are they considered clothing? Can one still go to a nude beach wearing only a vest?
