Some people just don't have the courtesy to show the respect that is due. I don't blame you for being disappointed. Reporters that can't get the simple things right just don't deserve to write.

    Better luck next time Rob.

Maybe you should quote Derek Zoolander in your letter to the editor:

Derek Zoolander: Do you understand that the world does not revolve around you and your do whatever it takes, ruin as many people's lives, so long as you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied along the way, just so long so you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied and dying along the way?
Salt Lake Tribune doesn't have the market cornered on errors.
I remember seeing errors in spelling and grammar in a correction printed in the Reno Gazette Journal. Yes, these errors were in a correction!

    Endless: you are exactly right.

Everyone should think about this next time they're forming their opinion. News coverage often has little to do with what actually happened.

For instance, it turns out that the reports of anarchy in the Superdome and Convention Center were wildly exaggerated.

No mention of the orphans you saved from that fire? The Elderly Ladies you help cross the street? The kitty cats you've plucked from trees?

Jeez, Rod. And to think I looked up to you.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw the obvious porn slant to this article.

How wonderful! Just think, you'll carry this with you for years to come as the maggot way is to never forget a thing such as this!

On a less serious note I too have seen stories I had personal knowledge about severly twisted away from reality. Thats why you have to use as many news sources as possible to ferret out the so-called truth.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

Boarderline- Nope. It got bumped today for the story about the Sandy AWACS pilot. It's now scheduled for 2 two weeks from today, but you know how that goes. Oh, and the Trib said it will print a correction tomorrow (thanks for the correction idea, guys). I was just going to leave it at first. Who knows, maybe I'll end up being Ror Cramp, or Dor Crab, or something else tomorrow).
