Elect idiots, get idiotic government. Even retrumplicans who voted for it are saying it’s bad. But Trump needs a made for tv moment and “win”, votes for this bill are to keep him happy. It’s a complete shit sandwich, basically indefensible. Adding tons to the debt without investing anything in the future, when these cuts were passed in his first term corporations used the saving for stock by backs not investment. The complete defunding of all IRA investment is akin to someone investing in typewriters after Apple launched the PC. Turns out a political party that is against government, actually sucks at governing. Shocker! And that’s not even getting into the authoritarian, fascist, racist bullshit this administration is pushing.
