help wanted: extensive background check on myself.

Does anyone have access to a nationwide database for background checks including US customs? also, if you know what the military checks for, that would be an added bonus.
I need an extensive background check on MYSELF. I've been in trouble in various states, including one border incident, or two border incidents. or it actually seems like something happens every time i cross the border.
    anyone have these skillz?
pm me and i can provide the necessary details.

in a couple weeks im starting a programming job with a company that does exactly this. but from my experience programming in the credit industry i expect there would be extremely stiff penalties for running a check on you.

it will be a while but if i learn of anything legal that could help you, ill let you know.

If you start running now you will always be 24 days ahead of them... if they catch up to you sooner, they will have to let you go. You can't argue with the laws of physics!

There are loads of places that do background checks for landlords wanting to know about a potential tenant. I used one not too long ago, only cost me $25 and the credit part of it was faxed back in less than a day. You might want to call one of these places and talk to someone to see if you can do one on yourself. I'm not sure how that would work in terms of forms, etc., for me to get the check done I had to fax them a lease application signed by the potential tenants indicating they agreed to have the check done, and I also had to include a tax bill showing I was the owner of the property. To do one on yourself I would think be easier, except it might be a somewhat uncommon request.

FYI, place I used was www.amerusa.net I see they also do employee background checks, which might get you what you're looking for.

dude, you're going up for a TS clearance. They're gonna know. Also count on them actually interviewing the references you provide, as well as references of their references. Hopefully you don't have a hidden past...

also count on your credit being a part of the evaluation as well.

A temporary is usually by passing a credit check & computer check (or was). The actually do legwork before a full. Put it all down, they'll find out anyways (and hey, a former coworker who was a taxevading stripper got a clearance)

    my favorite part:
I loved accounting for every address and roommate/landlord I'd ever had. that was pretty easy, you know, having been a ski bum for my adult life.

working for your uncle can be really lame.

I know several people with real sketchy pasts that got very high clearance levels. They want to see that you are telling the truth no matter how bad, are not currently using drugs, you and the people close to you are not in a very bad financial position and that you do not have friends from countries that want our secrets.
