Forum issues: word from TGR HQ

The varying levels of functionality users experience seems to vary considerably. On the positive at least the software isn’t stalking and timing out anymore. The broken links from Google, Tapatalk, and the iOS app and the white screen blipping seem to be the biggest hurdles. Plus not being able to post pics of your GFs

I wonder how many will start posting eleseqhere and never get around to coming back

I mean, the forum is working correctly (in a basic form) on desktop now for me. It did require the login workaround via the reply-to-comment approach, and I did have to use the workaround to avoid the forum going white blank (RIP TGR blue setting). I can reply and stuff, but without photo uploading or a reliable mobile option nobody can share the stoke. Keeping hopes up, since the turn will be upon us soon!

As someone who tried all the tricks and reply to thread hacks and whatever on every available browser etc: Some usernames just haven't been migrated or got "lost" or something. I know I'm not the only one. There are MANY longtime posters who cannot get into the boards anymore and it's not because they don't know how to do the right "tricks" to login.

SO. There has been talk for quite some time now about starting our own board. Where is the best site to host a forum these days?

I had to go find out for myself. Yup, blue and white is definitely broken. Wild. It is possible to get back to black and white.

I'm kinda shocked at how dead the traffic is here anymore. A single post will stay on top of the PR (and other forums) all day, maybe a few. I know a shiny new forum is right around the corner, but the way all the site down time and broken functionality drove off the community that was so strong for decades is way more severe than I could ever have thought.

Just now is the first time since sometime in July I was able to login on the app, weird to see people have been posting for weeks and I couldn’t login.
