Forum issues: word from TGR HQ

Two ways I know to post pics right now. One is using tapatalk. The other is linking to a pic that is externally hosted using image tags like [ img] [ /img]

I’m using Tapatalk right now, and I tried to click the icon that shows a picture and it says “to post a picture create a Tapatalk account”, which of course I’m using Tapatalk and I have an account and if I exit and go to login, it just gets me to the same spot, so Tapatalk is not working for me to post pictures.
I mean when I started here I had a photo bucket account (whatever) and I’m just not gonna start up another thing just to post pictures to it so I can post to another thing. If the forum ever comes back, and can easily post pictures, I’ll do it then…I guess

Goddamn. Still no photo upload working in-house.

Having to go all of last season without a fully-functioning TGR made me realize how much I appreciate having an online ski/outdoor community to be part of. I’ll still share my ski days with friends and family, but a circle like the TGR forums runs wide and deep. And with just a smidge of anonymity should you desire to remain that way.

To hell with all of the social media giants. I’d trade them all in heartbeat just to have my small niche corner of the internet back. The rest have fallen to profit seeking over community focus- if they ever held any other morals to begin with. It allows content to be weaponized, against neighbors and nations.


I have no digital refuge now, when it seems like I have questions to ask the maggot collective more than ever. I know it’s summer, but the turn draws near once again…

This is definitely not the forum we were promised, lol. Whether it's the forum we get, or the forum we deserve, is another story. But the last communication from the tech guys was that the forum upgrade was still coming.

And summit, they have never said what forum it is, Xenoforo or vbb upgrade or? Many months ago I did provide them with all the xenforo info but that's all I know.

My beef is that in 2025, the age of information and communication, none of those were applied to this so-called transition. How easy would it have been to say Hey we're gonna try and do this, it could be fucked up and please hang in there. Take a 6 month break if that would help, then come back. Ski yas all in the Fall.

IG, FB, threads & Bluesky just don’t work like this. I know how the system works, and I still get sucked into the ignorant comments from, (people?), that are not a part of a “group”. It’s infuriating.
We have a text group with our close friends who travel, and I like it, but now I feel it would be a great addition to what this was.
