The gofundme page for the forum migration fund will sure be fun to watch as it grows. Seriously though- if this really is legit, then I'm glad to see that a decision has been made in the higher level. Yeah, there is a chance things all go tits-up during the migration attempt, but I'd rather them risk the jump into the unknown versus accepting our doomed forum's fate. And if it works, then by golly won't that be a story for the hall-of-fame.

We could just migrate the forum into the comments section on gofundme. If you want to post something, you gotta pay a nickel.

Forum could use a one and done delete button. Posts and account gone in one swipe as all US online becomes an extension of X

Seriously though, thanks all for your attention and I'm happy to hear our TRG overlords are into keeping this place around.

I hope when we migrate to the new platform that the PMS Gear Factory Tour TR Thread gets revived. I am still waiting on a ship date for my Jerantulas.

I’d pay $ if when I opened a thread- it took me to the comment I viewed previously. Boy, what a luxury.
    Thanks for tackling this

The other thing I was thinking of is hiring a vb expert during the main site upgrade and taking measures to fix them during that time and have legit ongoing support.

We are hoping to start the major overhaul to the main site in 2-4 weeks. It will be a 4-5 month process. I am not sure exactly what stage of this the forums will be addressed, but it should be a few times along the way as there will need to be things that are undone, retired together, etc.

ETA apparently you cant use any punctuation ever or it churns out forum gobbledygook which is great for posters who fight proper English like hell - Fred SkiJ and SFB (love you all)

If they eliminate the penny, doesnt that make asking for change for a nickel even better?

I used to keep a gold watch up my ass
    While in a concentration camp

But I’ve decided to hoard pennies there instead.

Hmm I must actually be an attorney who knew. I stopped writing anything back and I take the Danno approach. I copy and paste the answer from the last email that they didnt read/comprehend and I BOLD it in Itallics. I never get much of a reply after that.

FYI- Quote works if you quote and then back out and quote the same post again. Odd. If you quote once it just picks some rando other person's post to quote.
