Legit Euro (or other non-US) On-line Ski Shops?

Seems like this topic comes up regularly, where people wonder whether a site is legit or not because of a crazy good price. So seemed like it might be a good idea to have a thread listing those sites and any experience, positive or negative, with them. If nobody cares or hates the idea, then the thread dies. I can try and update the first post with other ones posted as well.

Buy local when you can, of course, but sometimes that isn't possible/feasible.

Ones I have seen recently (that AFAIK are all legit):
    Bobleisure https://www.bobleisure.com/
Sport Conrad (may not ship to the US anymore) https://www.sport-conrad.com/en/
Telemark Pyrenees (even though nobody cares) https://www.telemark-pyrenees.com/
    Snow inn https://www.tradeinn.com/snowinn/en
    Tesmasport https://www.tesmasport.com/
    corbett's
    oliunid
    Snowcountry
    Varuste
    AlpinStore
    Backcountry UK/Ski Bartlett/Finches Emporium
    outdoorxl.com
    Skatepro

Snowcountry - super fast but expensive shipping (something like $50 for the smallest items)
Varuste - Helsinki based, nice prices sometimes
AlpinStore - decent selection but also expensive shipping
Backcountry UK/Ski Bartlett/Finches Emporium - all London based (I use to live there), not the best pricing but sometimes have rare goods

Ditto on Oliunid, probably the best imo

You forgot the great fantastic new powder guide overlords:

    www.sport-conrad.com

No seriously....Large selection and good offers.

Edit: right now all line skis 60% or more off.

Oh...I thought they ship anywhere but I've never checked.

Smart solution: ship to me and you'll have it at the BBI. But yeah I see the problem.

Yeah, that's why I haven't chimed in, I have no clue if any of the usual shops ship to North America.

Another vote for Olinuid. Not quite all you need, but they’re reliable and prices are pretty unbeatable and it’s a small, locally-owned company.

I've recently had pretty good experiences with Bobleisure, Olinuid, and Varuste. Some of the prices they have are unbeatable. FWIW, I also got free shipping recently from Bobleisure on a pair of boots.

Another positive for Bobleisure. Got a superb deal on a new model Lange boot, shipping included to the US. Took about a week to get out the door, but a damn NY minute for the shipping. Like 24-36 hours from EU to JH.

What makes them legit? Good price? Good service/knowledge?

Not getting ripped off make them legit, IMO. I ordered skis, bindings, and a jacket from outdoorxl. At the time I was nervous about getting ripped off but it saved me around $450 over all the items. Bent 110's, shifts 1.0, and Arcteryx jacket.

For US residents, be aware of the potential for getting charged with import duties - - IIRC the threshold is $800, so anything below that should not be charged.

I ran into a giant PITA hassle with this over a bike I bought from the UK about two years ago. It was well over $800, and FedEx demanded duty including a 25% tariff for being a product of China - - despite it being made in England. It took a lot of back and forth and some very helpful people at the bike retailer in England to convince FedEx that England wasn't China.

TL;dr - - keep your foreign purchase total under $800 USD.

Same experience. Lange RS140 for $504 all in. Savings allowed me to get zips and paid boot work from the local shop.

I came here on a search for bobleisure as I'm about to purchase some hotronics (it's also mentioned in the boot heater thread).

I've purchased from Corbett's several times. Returns are a bit of a hassle as you have to fill out some customs form and pay the return shipping. Also, of late, unless you pay for expedited shipping, it takes a while for them to get items out the door.

I've ordered from snowcountry.au. Item was shipped "UPS Express" the day after I ordered. I forgot how long shipping took.

Ordered a bunch of stuff from Bobleisire this year. Most have shipped and arrived within 3 days which is kind of nuts.

I did order one binding that showed in stock, but took a month to ship (was actually out of stock). They did slowly respond to emails and it showed up eventually.

I ordered a bunch of Attack 13 Lyt Protector bindings from them early on in the season, and when I figured out they were a terrible design (the Lyt toe pieces allow a ton of boot movement) I ate the cost to ship them back to Germany which wasn’t too much of a pain and I was refunded promptly

I just bought two sets of Thermic boot heaters from Bob Leisure. There was about 4 days after ordering where nothing happened, then I got a shipment notice with tracking - once it started moving in the system, the shipment arrived crazy fast - like overnight from Frankfurt to Reno.

They shipped via FedEx for this one.

I’ve ordered from essentially that entire list, no issues. One name not on there is Skatepro. It’s kinda like the French version of the German mega stores (snowinn) and has a US English version.

Never heard of Tesmasport. Will check that out.
