Maestrale forefoot buckle fix?

Trying out a pair of Maestrale RS… the forefoot buckle is annoying, the wire just falls off it as soon as you undo the buckle. It needs one of those keeper wires like on the boots or the old Vulcan forefoot buckle catches, but neither of those would be easy to swap out. Anyone have a fix for this?

Bumping my own thread to see if anyone has ideas.. I can't be the only one who finds the forefoot buckle on the Maestrale annoying. The cable falls off it immediately when I undo it for touring. Not a massive deal, but it would be much nicer if it had some kind of cable keeper on it like these Roxa and Dynafit buckles. But I don't really see an obvious way to add something like that on. Anyone smarter and handier than me have a good idea?

Well shit, that didn't work very well. I can't get the pictures to post at all, and everything I type is all jacked up. Is it me or is this entire site all messed up???

Isn't a problem if you don't undo the forefoot buckle for touring
(Seriously I've never felt the need to undo either the forefoot or mid-foot buckles for touring)

Yes, the site is way messed up for sure!
I use the M RS for all skiing, bc and resort, for the last 5+ years. I can’t picture your problem tho. I often unlatch the front buckle for touring, and sometimes leave it open skiing too. But the ladder part just sits there, and the wire hugs the boot - ie, not hanging or flapping loosely.
I’m wondering if you’re missing the middle wite guide? Or if the wire isn’t routed through it?
Pics would help here, but here we are on TGR in 2025…
