The gap's landing is made of mine tailings. There is an old dirt road that runs through the middle of it. Legend has it that the mine from which the tailings came is haunted. Chad Zurinskas went on a vision quest during the summer of '97. At the end of his vision quest he found himself laying on the road between the tailings pile and the mine. Around that same time Ostness was living in an abondoned mine near the area. The two of them came up with the idea for jumping the distance while chasing marmosets out of Ostness' cave. When the snows came that winter the two of them began to test crossing the distance by throwing items across the gap while the other recorded the tests (all pre Clay Pigeons, there's some of this footage hidden on the Bolero Project). The first of the items to be thrown across the gap sucessfully was a dead marmoset and two medium sized stones in a canvas backpack. It was then that they realized their dream might someday become a reality. That night the pair feasted on marmosets and water made from melted snow.

If you'd like to know more about the haunted mine, a strict diet of marmosets, and other sordid, but mostly factual details surrounding the mystery of Chad's gap I'm sure I can fill you in (after I finish eating this marmoset).

When a convicted jokester on TGR calls you a fucking revisionist, he is being completely serious and you should react as such.

    Self absorbently,

That is some funny shit! Well done. Jill Adler is a good writer and a straight shooter imo, so its not suprising that she used that.
