Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
Not sure when HH went south, but it used to be quite a notch above the other brands.

Sun Valley went all Marmot this year. I haven’t asked them how it’s working out
Mammut. They love it. They hated the HH stuff. I was in a full (red) mammut outfit last year and they often commented how they were stoked for next years stuff. I check in with quite a few of them and the new stuff is doing them well. And they are blue now so I don’t get confused as staff!Originally Posted by Beder;[emoji[emoji6[emoji640
Oh shit Mammut my bad
FWIW, I have heard that HH workwear is still very different from the mainstream HH lines. Doubt it means much to skiers, but people in the marine circles still like the workwear line.

HH Has had a crazy run in the DC area over the last 10-15 years. Not sure how it reached cult status on the street there, but the “salt” jacket was double platinum at my high school. I’ve worked 3 jobs in the ski industry, winter park was north face last time i checked. Bachelor is mammut (doesn’t fit my very american frame) and heli ski outfit also mammut

I also heard that a lot of the resorts cheaped out on the uniform gear. HH has like 3 different levels of gear/shell materials.
I just got a pair of bibs in their newly revised “pro” fabric which I hope will hold up well…but everyone is in a weird place with membranes right now because of the forever chemicals issues.
They hold a soft spot in my heart as they are one of the only games in town when it comes to gear dedicated to sailing…but I know that they have made a big “consumer” push that has required them to sell lower price lower quality garments. Similar to TNF which still makes some legit nice gear but also sells a lot of crap.
The top Helly Hansen stuff is still great, Vail just didn't buy it . . .
Anything that says "Odin" and/or "infinity" and uses the "Professional" membrane is bomber.
the HH gear I’ve patrolled in was great, as was Patagonia, as was Arcteryx
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
Ugh, tried on my exchanged Helly Hansen Sogn bibs today and they are too small.
They must have some sizing inconsistency...because I previously ordered an L and an XL and thought the L fit better. But the fly zipper was stuck (and I pee a lot) so I exchanged it for another L. But that L feels tight enough that it limits range of motion/layering and would be uncomfortable with a beacon in the pocket.
I like the feel of them though so I guess I'll be swapping back for an XL...but it does make me feel a bit suspect of the made-in-china quality control.

I had no idea Canadian Tire owned Hell Hansen. And now Wrangler Jeans just bought Helly Hansen ?

FWIW, I have a handful of days on my Sogn Bibs now. Ranging from cold to about as wet as it gets here.
They seem to be performing well. I stayed dry in the rain today and the material is holding up.
The patch on the inside of the ankle has picked up a couple cuts. Could have used a burlier fabric there.
