I got to spend the first week of January 2020 at Sol Mountain Lodge. It was pretty magical as we suffered through a “plague of abundance”. I’d have to go back to look at my notes but I think we got over 1.5m of snow during the week with 40cm falling in the 10 hours between measurements while we were out on the last full day of touring. It’s not very often that I wish I had a bigger splitboard but that week my 167 wide board could have been bigger. The food, facility, and staff were all amazing too!

Imo it's one of the best value guided/catered lodges. We had 112 skis and those worked.

Day5 last day. Another 10cms at -8.. Aaron talked us into going out to Peters Glades and was pretty happy. He said it was rare to get people out there on shorter winter days... just 3+ guide so we moved fast and efficiently.

Got back in time for fresh baked cookies at sunsetClick image for larger version.
