Don't know much about rental cabins but you can't swing a cat around here without hitting a B&B.

My family has a 5 bedroom "Cabin" on lake st. catherine. Ill see what I can do. Probably an hour from stowe

Sterling Ridge Inn has cabins about 7 minutes from smuggs. Its on Junction Hill road in Jeffersonville. Most people seem to like it, and you got smuggs up the road, Stowe a hop skip and walk over the road, and even Jay a little less than an hour away.
