The end game is the darkness I was referring to, not the fentanyl itself. The end game could be...martial law, internment of illegals (also dissenters) and total implementation of a christo-facist dictator state where we own nothing and like it. There needs to be new parliamentary elections (think House of Representatives) at least within five years of the last one, though the prime minister can choose to call one earlier than that. The deadline is Oct. 20th this year.

Members of parliament will be voted on in their riding (think congressional district). There are a number of political parties, not just two like in the US. Once the Members of Parliament are chosen, those members then choose the Prime minister (think choosing house majority leader). If one party has a majority in Parliament (House) then it will be whoever they had nominated as their leader prior to the election (though there&#39;s no law saying it has to be).

If no party has a majority, then they need to negotiate with other parties to form a coalition, for example the Liberals could join with the NDP to form a ruling majority, and the two parties would have to agree on a prime minister, but again, it&#39;s likely whoever the leader was of the party that had won the most members of parliament.

Carney has never been elected to any office but he has been chosen as leader of the Liberal party which is in power SO now he has to face PP breathe in an election some time between now and when the vote must be called





PP breathe was likely going to be the next PM running against JT BUT the JT quit SO now PP will have to face Carney, listening to his acceptance speech i would say Carney is more than up to the task, buddy has serious economist chops

Carney definitely has economic chops. He is the formal central bank leader of both Canad and the UK. Not often that rich countries choose foreigners to run their central banks.

He lead Canada through the Great Recessiona and the UK through Brexit, so he has some experience with crisis management.

Carney will be the next PM as soon as Parliament presents him to the Governor General (rep of the crown) and is accepted (a formality), until at least the next election. This will be within the next week or so.
The Members of Parliament chose the PM; as noted above it is usually the person elected leader of the party with the most seats. Technically, the PM does not have to have a seat in Parliment, but that puts a serious damper on their ability to present their argument/party’s position during debate. So this usually means an election will be called to give the chance for the PM to gain a seat in the house, and provide the house with a clear mandate as decided by the people of Canada via their respective ridings.
Interesting to note that anyone can join the liberal party of Canada and could of cast a vote to elect the party leader. Also, there is no cost to become a member of the Liberal party.
