Help me help a friend... freeski comp related

One of my friends here in Argentina has got a free ticket courtesy of Rossignol to any freeski comps in NA or Europe as long as he has an "official Invitation". He´s definitely an extremo guy, skis for Rossi among others, and is super cool. And he does not looouuff Girlski but he knows who she is.

Since I´m not a comp guy, I have no clue if those even exist or how these things work, but I´m sure some of you (Butterball?) might have some better ideas about comp details. He´ll probably have to be a member of IFSA or something, right?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Check your PM for info.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

Rossi isn't going to pay for anyone else to come up right hop????? No surprises here right????

I would say that the Snowbird comp would be the best one to come up for because of the location AND that it is a world tour stop. Plus SLC would be easy to get to. His membership dues are $40 bucks for the year, but if Rossi is footing the bill for everything else, $40 bucks is nothing. Refer him to the IFSA website...www.freeskiers.org I believe.

no surprises as far as I know. But Looouuff is a powerful thing, Kate. You never know what it will drive a man to do.
I was thinking Snowbird would probably be the best bang for the buck as well, but the Crystal one would be cool too since it would put him in WA.

Gee, the IFSA website is pretty shit, no?

Pretty sure that it hasn't been updated since about last april. The Crystal comp may not be an IFSA tour stop this year, and if it is it will only be on the national tour. The thing with Snowbird is that if he qualifies for the finals and then places (i think) top 10 in the final standings, he is world tour pre-qualified and I am pretty sure that Rossi would be inclined to pay for more at that point. And then when he is done in Utah, he can catch a cheap and quick flight up to Seattle to hang with you for awhile!
