Just got back from there, my kid had a week of training.

They've done a really good job setting up the new space. It's two yurts that are interconnected with a cafeteria area. Not a ton of room, but functional

The bar yurt was really well done up, we were there opening night. I will always miss the old bar though..

Rock hard refrozen granular from all the rain mid week. Fine for race training.

There were only two training runs open most of the week, the run under the right hand lift opened on Friday.

Making the best of it post-thaw. Sounds like eastern Quebec is doing better.

Kirby is that Edelweiss? Doesn't look bad at all.

    Also, thought this was amusing

It is indeed Edelweiss (Shotgun). We had a decent start (the Christmas storm was fun), but the recent thaw has set us back. Base is holding strong though, so if we can just get more snow, we should be good to go.

    And uhhh...

Edouard is just deep enough, it was absolutely perfect base builder snow. Stuck to the old crust like anything

Vali is deep, the only run not open was "le Ruisseau" but the creeks should be frozen up after these temps. It snowed all day while we were they are they declared 0 new cms the next morning While Edourard was reporting 75 of something. But I heard the wind was insane at Ed the day we skied Vali. When it's windy, head to Vali every time.

At Mont Lac Vert it wasn't true "ski anywherez" condish, you had to watch out for frozen slush bombs below the new snow. But they pick up way less than Vali and Ed

This current system is being kind to the city... leather boots tele session later this week on the mountain?
