What's a softer, lighter version of the OG ON3P Woodsman?

I'm getting the itch to try out another everyday ski. Want something a little different but still in my sweet spot. I have a bunch of other stuff in the quiver, but my daily drivers are typically either 186 Jeffrey 108s (when I want to ski really playfully) or 187 Woodsman 108s (OG version). Most of the time I ski the Woods - they probably get more days than all my other skis combined. It's like it was made in a lab to make me happy. I love this ski. It does everything the moment I ask it without hesitation. Just fits the way I ski - still super playful, has some pop, has a backbone and even though you can ski it upright and surf on it you can also lay into it and drive it.

So I'm looking for something that likes to ski like the OG Woodsman but has some different characteristics. Like in the family but not a sibling maybe. Lighter and poppier maybe? Not sure. But still can drive it when you want, even if the sweet spot is small.

Thanks to Phall I have a pair of swiss cheese Deathwishes to check out assuming I can find a place to mount them (should work). What else is out there that might fit the bill? I've decided the Reckoner and Bents seem too soft and whippy - they are more like a lightweight Jeffrey style. Maybe a Volkl Revolt? Mindbender? What should I try out? And if you're selling I might be buyin...

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Why do you look for lighter weight? Tourability or just laziness? Basically, I'd endorse higher weight for a more relaxed drive... But that just me. Think Cadillac suspension, cruise.

If just lighter, by a lot, or a little less lot, I'd look at something like Praxis BC or the Corvus freebird.

Haven’t skied them but I’ve always thought the Line optic 104 would scratch a similar itch as a semi twinned charger but some differentiation in the layup feel with metal and aspen vs glass and bamboo
There are lions and there are sheep. So, which one are you?

Yeah im coming to that same conclusion. Was just checking these out. None in the Black Friday sale - they only have the blades.

That’s what I’m looking for - same config but different ride characteristics. Different feels for different days.

they look awfully on sale to me at $300 for 2024 skis. Hoping it’ll be easier to resist ski acquisition madness myself if I can pass it off to you, ring style…

Why not just get a custom and go 50/50 layup?

    Check out the Kore 111.

Light, progressive (for Head) mount point, looser than the other Kores but still good hard snow grip.

Right? I've got a buddy who is skiing them and loves em. We shall see. Pickles we'll have to do a ski trade.
