No road beta but I saw a Youtube video of a circumnav https://youtu.be/J_YIjLRhrMA?si=xNziKwKjsSQSDEVE&t=54 with a view of the face 54 seconds in. Conditions don't look far off what I saw in July 2022... so pretty grim for this time of year: https://turns-all-year.com/trip-repo...ross-the-years I would totally recommend Lava ridge in the case the NFNWR looks sketch. Or maybe go on a Lyman glacier vision quest....

Going to ski adams the following weekend for a first go. I’m hungry for an early-ups ascent, and wondering about recent beta from mags or have heard otherwise?

Word on the FB ski groups is the SW chutes are skiing well, and the approach is easy.

Assuming you mean the weekend of the 7th/8th, as long as the weather cooperates I should be giving it a run as well. Heard similar things to Kam -- route is good, road ends about a half mile from the TH, corn time for the SW chutes has been around 1:30. All secondhand.

Riff, certainly. We were behind all the other ski groups due to a 7 am depart from the car. But we had all day to wear ourselves out! I imagine with the earlier descent that the lower wasn't too sticky? Probably great top to bottom conditions for you!

One of the best Kulshan visits I’ve had- same with other volcanoes lately too! Surprisingly good even with the very high freezing levels. Too bad pics don’t work.

Went skiing on the Squak glacier yesterday. It's actually still pretty good. Solid coverage where Scott Paul trail hits the ridge, smooth on the glacier. The Roman wall was frozen, so we skied the barbecue run in good corn with some frozen parts, then we had excellent corn for the upper 2k of the Squak.

Apparently free soloing in the snow/wet wasnt enough for this guy... he pioneerd free solo headfirst downclimbing. You read that right.

“There’s little beauty downclimbing feet first with your eyes and nose smashed up against the rock, so I started climbing head first on the downclimb when I could, what a difference it makes to be able to take in all the movement and beauty where I climb!”

I was like bro wtf are you doing. One day he had me come down there and film him. Next morning on the hill he told me he couldn't get back up. Scrambling around on wet icy rock is tempting fate. And fate paid him a visit.

Still he was rad though. What a character. Good dude. Talked about pussy nonstop. Total hornball.
