All this negative crap will blow over once the snow flies, those who do nothing but stir shit up will eventually get bored and take their drivel somewhere else.
Very true. This bs has really only been occurring over the last few weeks, and really stepped up the last few days. It'll be gone soon enough. The week will get weeded out. Those of us who are better rooted on this board will perservere as we have in the past.

    Peace and love maggots

If you get down and quarrel everyday
You're saying prayers to the devil, I say
Why not help another on the way
    Make it much easier
Say you just can't live that negative way
    You know what I mean
Make way for the positive day

    Cause its a new day
    New time, new feeling yeah!
    Say it's a new sign
    Oh what a new day........

I've met three maggots that Seememd pretty cool in the two minutes I spent with them.

And apparently there are at least two more whom I won't want to strangle if/when I ever meet them.

A great day of maggot camaraderie! (I had to look up how to spell camaraderie).

Coloraggots/former Coloraggots ensuring I went to school at Boulder and not some silly private school 6 hours from the mountains (thanks, guys).

Bdog sending me free tuning goodies and stickers just cuz I didn't have any ( ).

LOTS of sick gear exchanged CHEAP.

Free skis and bindings for LOTM (decided by KD, a maggot)

Turning gapers into skiers... (I'm not saying I'm a skier yet, but I'm a lot closer than I was two years ago) through wisdom and knowledge.

Discount lift tickets for all my friends including Kelly Love on one of the greatest trips we've ever had.

Lots of instances when people probably almost (or sometimes did) pee their pants from laughing so hard.

BZ showing me that A-Basin really is sick and that snow conditions don't matter near as much as you think (as far as fun factor, not safety).

Blurred teaching me how to slide rails and sack up.

I have learned a lot by being a maggot and being on this board. Hell, I might not be addicted to snow if I weren't a maggot. Then my life would probably not be nearly as great for several months out of each of the many years I have hopefully to come.

You guys are all really cool guys. A bunch of great skiers with a serious variety of collective knowledge. And you HAVE done some very charitable things. And you've made me laugh a lot. I'm personally extremely proud to be a maggot, no matter how obscure or strange the general population considers it...
    Days on snow 06-07: 3

It's no wonder that you got LOTM Max. You're a good dude and a hell of a writer with lots of heart/stoke. We could all learn something from you.

Oh yeah. My favorite skis of ALL TIME, were given to me by a maggot for a sixpack. They've taken some pretty big hits, and are still alive and kicking.

AND, i've said before and ill say it again. Some of the best skiers i've ever ridden with have been maggots...Both East and West. Coincidence? I think not.

And having maggots be on your "call first" list of folks to go get crazy, stupid with in the mountains. Winter or summer.

there are tons of awesome parts to the tgr forrums, thats why i joined. the gear swap section is incredible, often the best place period to find gear. all the stokes, a great way to fight the preseason snow jones, all that, but i gotta say, you guys seems like the arguing/bitching kinda gets you down. I think that aspect of this is great too, its funny as hell, you just gotta not take it as seriously. Maybe its cus i haven't met any maggots in real life, but i just think of it as people making jokes and bitching on the internet. If maggots really do have real life issues with each other, then whatever, people do that, thats the way the world works, but why not just sit back and laugh at them acting like idiots?

Broadening the range of friends with just a few keystrokes. Arranging a sweet outdoor-active-bruisingly fun weekend in Moab with a computer. Irony.

ALL of the my friends that I know would be there for me, and I would be there for them no matter what are maggots.

I have my job thanks to this board and to maggots.

The family of a maggot at heart (NEWT -RIP) had a few months of not wondering how they were going to eat because of maggots.

A network of individuals in specialized fields has been set up so that if I need anything profesionally - I can usually find a maggot that fits the bill.

My life is better overall because of maggots. I'm not sure there is a group of people outside my wife and kids I could ever say that about.

    Thanks Maggots

Hell yeah, Frozen. So well said. You exemplify the spirit - too bad it isn't universally observed around here.

Edit: I will add one thing, maybe it's already been mentioned, but the enormous love and support for those of us who have lost beloved dogs has made that painful transition much easier.
