Can someone in the States do me a huge favor and bring me some items from Tognar if I ship them to you?

How big/heavy are these items? I’m flying out that way from the EC in February. I used to live up there and hope to again one day!

I was in Decker today and it was acceptable. The groomers I did on the exit were very nice. Probably because it was empty. It was pretty warm so anything but groomers will likely be rough.

seriously, went up to Gun Lake with Jer this weekend to help with some shit around their cabin, the lake isn't even frozen! we didn't have any skis, but we burnt a bunch of trees and brush we thinned out of the backyard forest...

Dry periods in January certainly aren't unusual, but this one is dragging on a bit long, isn't it?

We're at about 30cm for Jan so far....lowest in 20 years. Last time is was this low was Jan 04/05 season.

Feb is a low producer...highest Feb in 20 years is only 259cm so we're kinda screwed till March. A record setting Feb could just get us back to average. It's all ice out there so cooler Feb snow isn't going to stick to anything.

I need to buy some narrower skis.

How are the groomers skiing right now?

Been waiting for a pattern change but losing patience and thinking it might be fun to rip around on piste this weekend if things aren’t bulletproof

If you aren't local and don't have a season pass it's not worth going up.

My kids are in Sunday ski school so we're up every weekend. Couple am groomers, coffee break, hunt around for the edges that aren't boilerplate, long lunch, and finish with a lazy lap down to pick up the kids. I need to pull out the files and tune up the edges.

I'm 95% sure we'll be there the 31st-2nd. We won't cancel for sunny boilerplate - only if it were raining to the top or something awful like that.

If it hasn't snowed (so no need to plow) can you get away with parking overnight in the day lots? Anyone know the cost of the ticket, or is it a tow?

A buddy booked an AirBNB for a weekend in late February and just informed everybody that there is only 1 parking spot at the place, and the other two car of people will have to find overnight parking. Am i reading it right that the underground garages allowing 24hour parking are charging $150/day, and thats a BIG if, there is even parking available there?

I know you can park overnight in the Conference Center lot and it's $25 per day, but I suspect you'd need to move your car once per day.

If you reveal the neighbourhood where your buddy is staying then maybe someone will point out the affordable parking.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

You might also check with the condos in Creekside such as Evolution and Legends. Their parking rates are significantly less than the hotels in the Village and I think you may be able to park there even if you're not staying at the property. You could park your car there then take the bus to Whistler and not worry about your car till it's time to drive home.

the box fan issues making it hard for me to post... We are staying in the main village. When i checked parking at the conference center, their website said full, and i would imagine trying to find parking on a friday night would be even harder than when i checked on a thursday morning.

I normally stay at the creekside base so i know how/where to park overnight for cheap/free there (ive never gotten bothered in the main creekside underground lot), but that would be an inconvenient last resort.

Lot 4 or 5 I mix them up, the one with singing pass parking, allows overnight parking. You don't have to park in the designated spots as long as you park on the same row beside them. It's $10/24hrs.

Thanks for all the messages to bring stuff here. I got it covered.

[for californiagrown] You're braver than me if you park somewhere that explicitly doesn't allow overnight parking.

My understanding is that none of the "day lots" allow overnight parking during the winter and this website confirms that:
