-52 degrees in the hole? Damn that’s cold

Anyone old enough to remember when they had Gm cars parked on Broadway just to test their ability to start and run in frigid temps?
You would think they had freezers in Detroit for that. But no. They went ho.

Lol, no DJ that wasn't me. I gotta late start and decide to dork up to Taggart in the afternoon.
    Filling in nice up there!

Funny I kinda thought I might of rode up with you yesterday on one of the thunder laps. If there was an orange jacket I would have asked but there was not.

Anyway, me: grey beard, usually cut short. Older Teryx jacket with green sleeves and brown body. Not many of them left around (which I don't really get - since they are virtually indestructible).

I can't keep up with this place. I didn't even know Marshal was making skis.

We need another forum room for maggot made skis. I only know ON3P posts here, and of course BRO when he was around (hope he's doing well). Did anyone from Praxis post here...idk. And now Marshal. I'd certainly prefer to support a Mag when buying boards, but of course I want the ones that will make me ski like SkiJunky.

Lol, MO has been posting here about HL skis for 3 years now, he is by far the most active owner of any ski manu on here and answers questions very timely when he isn’t tuning and shipping a new batch. There are several threads on them. His skis won’t make you ski like SkiJunky but they will make you think you are skiing like him. Check them out dude. I’m definitely addicted to the koolaid as I now have 4 pairs. Don’t really want to ski anything else.

I like that so many mags are into the burlier small batch skis. And typically, very strong skiers.
Joe, you're right on time for those skis. Which ones did you order?

First pair I saw were the swallowtails Pfluffenmeister mounted up in the waxroom a season or two ago. Super sharp and nice looking to boot.
Then Schwerty's R90's? and then Swerves whatever radness he was on in Suisseland this spring. The green with yellow beaker ones. Fucking beauties.

    Weather's ramping up. Splugen tonight.

I’d sign up. As you know I mostly turn around on iggys at the village but those HLs have grown on me a bit.

I find they remind me of a more modern version of the ole FFGS. Tips are way different tho.

I’m gonna try for a few laps around [emoji637][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]:[emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] Tuesday DJ.

    JH 24-25 POW TOWN STOKEZONE

funky turned me onto a pair of HLs this fall, ZF one one six. Don’t want to turn this into a ski review so I’ll just say it’s my perfect JH ski.

Keep the snow stacking up, looking forward to getting back in the Tetons

Backcountry was deeep, still a little sensitive. Warmed up by early afternoon. Nice to get out. I've been battling a neck/ shoulder issue, so taking it easy. We got Targhee passes for the first time in years- will be nice grabbing a lift ride on the deep days.

I was having such a good time yesterday that I jacked my back a little in the foggy bumps. Relaxed and watched webcams as it stacked up overnight. Rehab day off.

Firsthand report from TruckeeJoe hopefully being outlined now. He walked over for a wax and green session and said firsties into Laramie didn't suck, but he can fill us in...

I'm trying to ski into some shape but it's a rough row to hoe now. Easy turns and planning my best pow days better. Beware the mindless charging pre-storm cycle. FOG.

Stoke level very high today. After 2 great early thunder laps, i moved under the Gondi and found even more pow. By the time I migrated back to thunder, I managed to catch the rope drop on Laramie bowl as the sun was coming out, 3 very fast laps in there.

New trails and terrain are opening every run, It's a nice time to be here. Click image for larger version.

Livin the Dream. One day at a time.

    Way to get after it.

I didn't last until they opened it. We figured it was an imminent soft opening.

Multi speed laps in the cowpow cloud first thing, 5 gondy laps at schnell pace.

DJ - sent a text from Casper that never went through. Wish we coulda turned. Met a prospective client later that day (in his 80s), that chuckled when I mentioned i was hoping to take laps with you. Never skied with ya but knows and had high praises for your carp work!
Anyway, I got some stupid lung crap but might sneak in a few laps before the blackout happens.

Thanks Schwerty, very cool to have so many friends and acquaintances in our small town, yes?
    Feels connected.

No worries on the missed turns. I'm going easier, trying to tune up for full on winter. It's goin' slow.
Holla on your likely ski days, I'll work it in as priority 1.
It's been too long since we turned...
