Wierd, I checked TGR all day on the half hour. Your message came at least 3 hours late. I pushed today. Ate waffles at Corbets Cabin and got over 40k verts in for the first time this year...the last 3 runs were kinda sloppyThanks again Djongo for the kind hospitality

I ran into BB on the tram today. She suggested a meetup tomorrow. I'll be at Casper fireplace at 11 if anyone wants to take a few laps. Blue jacket black pants.

yeah this forum seems to be in the death spiral. Half the time it won’t even load.
Sorry to miss K2- once we came back in bounds I tried skiing the most visible lines from the lifts in case we crossed paths but alas- next time.

And great bumping into stevied. I am going to try for the 11 meet up but I have visitors that arrived last night to see the concerts this weekend that are more on the afternoon program

ok so I hope the forum works enough to upload this video from yesterday from the end of the day. We went up next to last tram and saw some people going out to Cody so stopped to take a look and we happened to see some excitement from Central couloir.
This was at 3:35 or so too so not strong choices by the skiers and to use Djongo’s verbiage- they clearly oversloped themselves [emoji38]
We tried watching the 2nd person but they were going extremely slow and the clouds rolled in around 3:55 so we started skiing down. (patrol knew this was happening too)
Apologies in advance for my dramatic exclamations

Interesting about the forums. I’ve had no issues on my phone. Hope they get things rolling again.

Nice to see you’re still kickin’ DJ! Haven’t seen ya all year. First year since the early [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]’s I haven’t skied the Village. Strange. Next year that won’t be the case.

@BB vid, damn that was gnarly. That lady musta shit herself during that ride. Her partner must have been so terrified after that too. I wonder how her partnre got through the low/mid tide looking exit move. Its bad to get yourself in over your head, especially in such consequential terrain but even more so so late in the day. Djongo is right....some interesting choices were made. Its great to hear shes gonna live. Its easy to die falling like that.

Season Pass prices go up (again) on Sunday. Git sum.

This year I bought the Blackout pass and spent the saved money on an Ikon pass; which will allow me to ski 7 of 10 blackout days on the jhmr pass.

And Sun Valley, Aspen, Revy, Red, Whitewater, LCC, Taos, Crustal, Alpy, Schweiz, yadayadayada. And St. Moritz!

And we get half off of Mt. Collective anytime.

Thats a sweet shot of skier doing the direct slide in to Once is Enough.

Its a ballsy entry on a fat day. Step lightly over the first band.

I wouldn't have known that was Once if you hadn't mentioned it. The normal entrance is to lookers right of the cornice? That's a cool and funky perspective.

Wades book showcases a life devoted to the art and a lifetime well spent. What a legend. Its a must have for any fan of Jackson ski history or just skiing history in general. Its beautiful.

    Fuckin Moe.
That would explain the pole position.

First time I saw him poach a line was with Doug and a coupla ne er do wells skiing the small rock band above top of subby/below East ridge traverse, below the fence. Doug snakes it, Tommy piledrives the flats. What a scene those guys telling the lifties to relax. Just showing the new Ambassador around.

You can see the Wave snowfield on Rendezvous in the distance, back side of No Name is closer. That puts you on top of Cody facing east. And Id know that fin almost anywhere.

Another way in is from skiers left of Tommy but is kind of a slide in and traverse right for 10 yards then hang a left down and in.

That's a big cornice. Sometimes you can go in straight like him but further skiers right.
