    … I'm not particularly a bump guy …
    .
    I laughed at this. Don’t think I’ve ever seen you ski thunder bumps. Welcome back to the dark side of skiing, brother.

    This thread is bringing the stoke, looking forward to getting out there soon

    It's just not my favorite but man, when it's pristine, it's so attractive. I had to debate hard and it won first choice over Grand woods. Which I tagged next.

    Be good to ski ya.

    I'm warming up to Thunder more now than ever before.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Today I meet up with Pfluff about 10 am for some laps. We get a couple in before this dude hops on our chair.
    Seems like a normal skier guy. Says he was an old Vail groomer, used to score chicks for grooming forays, yada yada.
    Just before unload, he says now I'm four beers into a drive down from Bozeman skier. Hey you guys are fun, where ya goin?
    Errrr, over to Wide Open for a smooth ripper.
    He gets between Pfluff and I en route.
    I peel in early and let em go.
    About 6 fall line turns in I see him come screaming past on my left pointing them and then breaks hard left.
    A massive wave of snow goes up and I glance over as both skis come off in the hip slide and he's sliding head downhill thru the bumps on the edge. I think about checking on him but no. Welcome to Jackson Mr. 4beersfromBoze.
    Pfluff rolls in behind me and goes did you see that?
    Holy shheeeeite, that dude exploded on a level I haven't seen in a little while. The comedy of skiing is top notch around here.
    He's probably gravying up someone's hot tub now.
    Yeah, 4beersfromBoze spectacularly exploded!
    On the cat track over were cruising past people he does a big wheelie on his tails and almost goes over backwards. ( Gave him a bit more space after that().
    I saw a big cloud of white and a ski in the air.
    On my next turn I see him about 80' downslope of his skis and he's running downhill trying to keep his feet underneath himself.
    RIP 4beersfromboze
    Also ran into eastorbust on the Tram
    Good to see you again; he is a fellow Yurtle-Turtle from last year's Beaver Mtn. shindig.
    I'll have my avy stuff tomorrow!
    Was a good day out the gates getting shown around some new zones by some buds. Had me looking at some ancient thread on here from 07 where UAN took a ribbing from a member about not posting enough stoke.. That aged well lol
    Good running into you in the tram A. The HL skis were a dead giveaway.
    Planning to be out there tomorrow but probably not for too long.
    I look at those trees and wonder if they're 8' tall and 30' away or 30' tall and 100 yards away.
    I don't think I could ever change someone's perception of reality. I can only do what I do; some will vibe with it, others won't.
    An image that makes someone think — or, better yet, feel — is the mark of compelling art IMO. Thanks for pausing for a minute!
    Oh boy, pretty fucking deep for 4"!
    Late to the Tram, waited one minute in line and scored 95th man on for first box.
    Rendezvous was nice and soft, but already worked all over the place (fuckin schoolers).
    Down to Cody and big slideslip to the edge and immediately over while eight or so people are lined up at edge (haha I'm the powder weasel!).
    I sent the prayer flags cliffs last year on about a two day; those prayer flags said come hither and offered safe passage.
    Never even felt the landing.
    Got to tell you that skiing down and next to cliff, it looks quite a bit bigger than it felt.
    Down to the Headwall and hike.
    Got passed by about six patrollers so I went all the out to Casper; no go, come back next lap.
    Sweet down.
    Back to the Headwall and Lord have mercy but I've got first tracks down Casper into the amphitheatre.
    Drop right at the vertical rope into untouched sweetness work left across the saddle and shot that first 5-6' notch chute (not mach looney as I would have liked but still pretty sweet; maybe tomorrow).
    White on white, hard to parse sight.
    Whoa, big vertigo turn on a rollover; no tactile feedback.
    Complete whiteroom.
    So it was.
    Did the early Bridger to Thunder to Tower 3.
    Working directly under liftline last turn on the bottom side of the tower and in
    Triple whoops over to the left side funnel for soft steep turns and I hear from the lift:
    "Well, looks like we have some not bad skiing going on around here today!"
    Figure that's a pretty solid JH lift comment
