I heard the pro's in BC got a BIG BIG raise last year ,

as oposed to some shithole cabin in the woods I think there would/ should be rural land and house to buy, remember the lumber industry is seriously down the tubes with mill closures, I gave my old washer and dryer to a guy who said " I havent had a pay check in a year and he won't be getting one ever

I sold my seakayak to a nurse who had bought a house between Terrace and Smither in Cedarvale for 90K !

Cedar vale is on Hy 16 but pretty fucking remote, there was a long gone old mill site, the house was an estate sale that had been empty for 10 yrs, 1st thing buddy did was put a roof on the place and some sweat equity but only 90K ! and buddy is central to about 3 hospitols so should be lotsa work

That is awesome to hear that they got a pay bump. I have heard some stories of no one being able to find a PCP in the lower mainland area. Cedarvale might be "central" but is 45-90 minute drive to a real town in either direction, right? So far out here.

Yeah there is nothing in Cedarvale it is a completely dead remnant of the lumber industry, it was a mill > 20 yrs ago so people lived on 5 acre lots in the area but now mill is just a big empty overgrown with willows and a sign advertising industrial land, so no services, you wouldn't really know anybody actualy lives there people get old die and somehow a house stays empty for 10 yrs when people can't find places to live in BC so do you really need to homestead ... I guess if you want.

we need more MD's so Its hard for a lot of people to find an MD in most of Canada, if i was going to move any where I would have to think very carefuly about how I would find another MD ? I waited 2 months for a MRI and 9 months for the ACL but NO money out of pocket. There is NO insurance company. As i understand it from ski bro he had an ID # and he just claimed on-line directly from the gov

Depending on my issue I could get in to see my doc in within a week, I can usually get into emerg in < an hr, last time was 6hrs-ish but thats unusual
