    This^^
Clicking in while in a crowded line, just assuming that everyone is closely observing you to avoid being in the way, is foolishly arrogant.
But I suppose we already knew that since they doubled down and loudly blamed the OP. Perhaps a simple "Sorry, Karen" would have sufficed.

I would have probably just said something to the effect of, "Hey, watch it! I'm standing hear!" In my best NY accent.

Lift lines may be long but they don't have to be crowded. That's on us.

Don't get me wrong, it took two to tango in this alleged incident.

If the guy is in front of you hes not going to drop it backwards. I doubt OP was straddling the snowboarder like a little kid. None of this makes sense.

If you were in front of him and he hit the back of your skis thats on him.

It was a crowded day at multi-pass area. We've all been there. People are antsy, excited, just want to get on the lift. You think it is beyond the realm of possibility maybe he was trying to push the line forward? Have you ever skied a powder day before? This is a tale of two dudes who were both a little to excitable at a given time and need to move on.

All I know is that my ski tips not touching the person's in front of me usually denotes sufficient spacing. As I said, I guess I'd expect people in line to actually be geared up.

Yep. That reminds me how some people get bent out of shape in lines of any type if everyone doesn’t have their nose in the nape of the neck of the person in front of them. I contend the line doesn’t move any slower if people spread out a little.

Dbl fall line lift lines can be tough for newbie snowboarders. They don't think to go switch while standing one foot out to help their cause. But this clown was out of line. He's a tool for sure.

The bar thing is absolutely annoying, so I take control instantly these days. People have started to pull down and I'm already holding it and look over at everyone and say "coming down" and wait for aknowledgements. Gapers need to be schooled...just the way it is.

I'm changing my answer. I thought it was more of a "fuck you bro, I'm throwing my board down right on top of your shit". Seems it was more cluelessness.

Ski areas are crazy places. Its surprising people don't die everyday. Just like le bar, expect the unexpected. And if you can't and you rage just find something else to do.

One time at Stowe my dad and I were putting our skis on, near the fourrunner quad but not like, right next to it. My pops flops his skis down right at the exact second that some guy is just FLYING along right in front of him. Dad manages to have his skis just hit the snow 0.0001 seconds in front of the some guy, who obviously skis right over top of them but the sudden change in surface friction causes him to absolutely eat shit and yard sale. First thought is "is this guy okay" but almost immediately he gets up and starts to gather his shit, but not before he gives my dad this look of absolute disgust which causes me to laugh hysterically.

One of the top 10 things I've ever seen.

Maybe so but we don't have to play. Someone does something clueless, laugh it off. Someone is being a dick, tell them while laughing and keeping it lighthearted.

Because..... "Skiing is supposed to be fun!!!!" My new Mantra.

fkn aggro ski bro at Sugar Bowl today

I’m getting my shit together and about to click in when aggro ski dad rolls up with the wife and two little girls and grandma

clearly dad is annoyed that he has to ski with the family because he’s barking at the kids

he’s obviously frustrated and in a hurry to get going - it’s 1130 and they’re just starting

he gets right up in my space and drops three pair of skis right on top of mine and keeps barking at the kids - theres plenty of room to not crowd other people

I am stunned and say something about about maybe being aware of other peoples shit and this just sets aggro bro off and he’s immediately swearing and in my face

I’m not pissed but I’m not just going to say nothing to this idiot - aggro bro can’t handle it

wife and girls and grandma are just standing there watching aggro dad bro make an ass of himself

at this point I decide that the whole thing is just fucking hilarious so I just start laughing in his face and mocking him for being such an asshole - I’m taking the high ground and not engaging in the aggro behavior

as I’m pulling my skis from the pile of his he’s right up in my face looking for a fight

I just keep laughing as mom starts yelling at him and his probably 5 year old daughter starts crying

as I walk away to put my skis on grandma comes over and apologizes for her son-in-law being such a jerk - I wish her and mom and the girls a happy thanksgiving and continue to laugh at aggro bro and ski off to get on the chair

And laughing in the face of their rage is almost always the best response.
