Mt Brokenchair shows the way to customer satisfaction programs.

In December, people stranded on broken chairs got a free day pass.
In January, they got a free coffee or artificial chocolate drink.
This month it’s a free FastTracks pass. So you can get on chairs that frequently break ahead of everyone else.

    Genius!!!

Hmm I've yet to ski the Heather canyon this season and it's February already. All the gates at Crystal were open since yesterday and snow staying light and fluffy and almost wish it 'd be little denser so as not to punch through the crusty pack underneath... Powder days at Crystal is something special... one more day to go.

WP getting some of those Brokenchair vibes and couldn’t run EPA due to a mechanical issue. Something about the way the chairs were being reseated on the cable. That said, given the Heavenly accident I’m glad they didn’t run it. Just kind of a lamer day only skiing mid mountain on the front side.

^^^Today was best snow of the year for me. Effortless waist deep blower pow made my weewee tingle.
OTOH viz was CSS in the untracked from lift tops to about 6700’ - felt like I put a white sheet of paper inside my goggles -just had to trust and go.

Fortunately, that trust paid off more often than not for me. Sun hole late afternoon was super sweet way out west. That said, watch for a touch of sun effect tomorrow.[ATTACH][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]][emoji637][emoji637][emoji638][emoji637][emoji640][/ATTACH]

    Nice morning on the hill.

Got photo bombed by a crow or a raven. Not sure how to tell the difference.

The Anthony Lakes backcountry was flawless both yesterday and today. Blower pow and a generally pretty stable snowpack, [emoji869]

    Damn! That looks sweet
Looks like snowfall at ALMR is above average already.

On a powder Thursday (they’re closed M-W) the place is magic. No crowds, rowdy terrain, cold smoke, people ripping it up in insulated carhartts.

Just know they only load from one side during the AM lineup…

Load from the left, there will be thirty people in the lineup for a deep day. Last time we were there on a Thursday they had seventeen inches since Sunday and it was blue bird and five degrees. It was like cat skiing for the first three hours.

Definitely worth a trip if it’s been snowing. It’s a small hill but the entire mountain is interesting skiing. Lots of mini freeride hits sprinkled all over the mountain, and great tree skiing when there’s pow to be had.

Pretty damn good day on the mountain! What is going on with uploading of pics? Is the site no longer hosting them?

The site is hosed posting from desktop browsers right now, but oddly works tolerably from that intolerable mobile app Tapatalk.
