Fine that might have not have been a dad air but it ws close, and there was two dad airs before it, hidden in the pic, and one after. Landing was great except for the tree in the way. Beatered, I have twentyfour 50 off tix but you prolly can find a better deal. But happy to pass them along.

Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

    mineral update per twitter:

    Mineral Basin Update:

We have discovered some unforeseen additional issues with the Mineral Basin chairlift and unfortunately it will not be operating this weekend. We will update everyone at the beginning of the week.

There&rsquo;s a open house meeting at Our Lady of Snows on March 25th about this&hellip; https://www.utah.gov/pmn/files/964013.pdf I&rsquo;d never even heard about that, seems they&rsquo;ve managed to keep it on the down low for a while.</p>

That project has been a lawyer boondoggle forever, at least the last 20 years but probably longer. The owner is a part owner of Alta Ski lifts. Her trust sued the town of Alta (massively affecting the towns finances) for well over a decade to get access to town water. They ran utilities up the summer road a few summers ago. The owner was also formerly a board member of ASL. I know there is currently litigation between ASL and the owner over land that could be used for a future grizzly lift. If she gets partner to invest in the development one of those projects is going to happen. Hotel/condo option seems better than 10 mansions. Either way it’s rich d bags trying to get richer.

awfully quiet for that much snow overnight. Tell the work crew how it was if you had a chance to ski today.

Awesome day of thicker slightly wind blown in pow, without actually having that wind affected feel of upside down. Mineral being down and a long delay getting the pdog running led to some brutal lines once everyone filtered up canyon. I imagine tomorrow will be super crowded. Can’t believe how long it’s taking for them to get mineral back on line. Issues must be considerably more than the gear box as I’ve seen the Alta lift maintenance guys change a gear box and get a chair running in one full day. Hoping that powder corp isn’t turning the bird into a resort with consistent lift disasters like they did to Bachelor.

Wasatch 24/25-Stoke, Conditions, and general debauchary

What an over the top powder filled three days. Friday was all time. Saturday was fantastic. Today was excellent and still gave up face shots. Good lord.

Catherine’s opening Friday. Backside opening today. Keyhole Saturday was stupid. Was blinding myself with faceshots Friday and Saturday.

And then today, to put an exclamation point on it, after some bombs and PBR pitchers one of our crew popped up from our Goldminers table, rode up Collins, blew down Highboy and then fucking straightlined an iced out Church. Hol-lee.

    Thank you Ullr.

    /\/\/\ WOOF!

I'm in SLC for the next cycle.
    Shaarrp! are you around?
Had fun skiing ALTA with you last year.

Ski tomorrow (is it all skied out?), or start on Tuesday with the storm?

Tuesday will be the day, Wednesday will be great also.

Had a great storm cycle, skipped the resort and toured Friday Saturday. The snow was perfection, the slightly higher density made my little touring skis float better than they usually do, and was able to ski pretty aggressively in the BC which was fun.
Went to Solitude on Sunday and got a cool line off Evergreen peak, and another untouched line off the honeycomb sneak back to Summit.

Haven't been to Soli in this year, and while the parking situation has changed (reservations now AND a fee) I had to park on the road much to my chagrin.... They had people out managing the lift line which was a huge relief. Speaking of lines, even for a Sunday the lines were very manageable. I stood in two for a bout 5 minutes each, way better than I expected.
