Something for hard groomers in the morning, and something for N facing off trail and other exposures as they soften.
Here for just a day? Love to hook up with you, but not so into the weekend scene round here.
    Driving.

Yep just a quick trip. Heading down Thursday night, wife takes a clinical exam somewhere near Orem on Friday while I find a place to work for a few hours. Ski on Saturday. Slight chance we ski on Sunday but most likely pounding pavement back to Jackson.

Totally get avoiding the weekend cluster, but if you do make it would love to turn. I’ll shoot you a PM with my digits. If both my buds make it down it’s a strong group.

That’d give me enough of an idea of what to grab in my quiver and avoid the analysis paralysis.

Currently thinking R[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]] and R[emoji637][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]. But OG Katana may get the nod over the R[emoji637][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]], or maybe Praxis FRD. This is never a fun game to play.
I’ll be skiing the QST one o six or DW one o four the next few days. So R one o five is what I’d choose I guess. But I’m rarely a good role model.

For what it’s worth, with the calendar turning to March and no new snow in the forecast, I’m expecting relatively mild crowds this weekend. I don’t think I waited longer than [emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] minutes a lap last Sunday.

I would ski my Hotshots. They are 106 underfoot. When i skied Jackson with you it hadn't snowed in a while and there was a ton of hardpack moguls and i wasn't used to that - Snowbird is different. There will be moguls, sure, but not everywhere. There will also be high speed turns and dad-airs galore.

Also you are a very good skier so I doubt you would want to be slightly undergunned if you ski with ripping friends. Easy to have fun and get butt-puckered real quick at Snowbird in almost all conditions. Bad conditions in-bounds in Jackson IMO is a chore.

Ill be skiing this Sunday to next Friday at the Bird. Staying at TFWs abode. EOB, if you stick around Sunday morning, lets ski some laps.

This weekend in LCC Id be on Line Optic one oh four, but I am in CO this weekend. New ski to me this year and Im really liking it as a low tide choice. Which I think will be the same answer in CO, actually. Snow change coming next week though, hoepfully...

Great groom at the bird this morning, way more workeable than expected. Front and back. Probably pretty OK chalk out there too if you roll like that.
Way more people than i expected on a sunny hardpack thursday though.

Today, reminded me of February skiing in Austria.

We'll have a grill and plenty of extra bubba burgers at Alta on Saturday. Look for a white chevy truck and a bald dude with a beard and ask for change.

It was much more firm than expected at Snowbasin around 1:30pm. I thought all south-ish facing terrain would be soft by then, it wasn't.

Can we post photos again? If so, this is muted skiing the soft snow we found below the peak.

Sigh. Never mind, still can’t post stoke.

MBX at the bird been down since yesterday mid afternoon. Still is apparently.
Mechanical. Maintainence issue on G II; not spinning.
No Mineral means frontside lift lines; I was outta there @ 10:30.
Gonna be a junk show tomorrow if they cannot fix it...
    Nice skiing with you Altacoup.

No MBX is a serious problem all by itself, no G2 on top of it is rough.

MBX sounds like a gearbox replace.
Prolly do not want to be at the bird tomorrow...
