I&#39;ll venmo anyone who buys a ticket 33$- making it a 37$ lift ticket. I&#39;ll spend ~400$ on food, yurt was 850$. So I&#39;m ~ 2400$ into it. More than happy to drop a couple grand to make it happen. I&#39;ve asked about getting a better ticket deal but they want it purchased each morning and it&#39;s a couple bucks off. They do accept cc. Last year ppl pot lucked and brought stuff, id imagine thatll happen again. Id like to do prime rib one night, the oven is working. I&#39;ll also do breakfast sandwiches/burgers dogs etc. Check last years thread(link in first post) to see all the stuff I grabbed from the store. As well get closer we can plan more specifically. The thought of the GoFundMe is for ppl that aren&#39;t coming to support the cause for the ppl that are there. I&#39;ll pay for whatever it takes to make this happen yearly. We are the raddest skiers on earth and deserve nothing less!

got ridge yurt in the bear river range of the uintas
great location, easy 4.5 mile skin on cross country groomed trail, super safe low angle burn scar skiing as well as steeper stuff if you want it
overwhelmed with fatherhood and did a bad job rostering this trip, but if there are mags who wanna get out it could be a fun mini, pm me if anyone is interested

i don't disagree that what he did was shitty
but he also did a fuck ton of good for this community
when i met him at Beaver last year I could tell he had a good heart and what he did was objectively very cool of him. that dude has stoke

A couple buddies and I used to go out to boundary yurt (maybe a mile past ridge) every year, until dealing with BRORA’s reservation system became too much of a hassle. Haven’t been for probably [emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] years, but there’s some killer skiing out there. Timing is not good for me on this one, but if people have the availability they should take you up on the offer.

I’ve skied with Byates a few times, once way back on a huge day in Utah, an easier tour last year, and a lift day. He offered me good words of wisdom and support in the skin track when I was anxious about upcoming cancer surveillance scans. In person he’s a thoughtful easy going guy.

The internet sucks, and people get sucked into negativity. This forum contributes to peoples falling out. We could all try to not suck so much both in person and in this part of the internet.
