“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix
Yeah it's a moderate effort
impressive
It’s only like 8,000ft per day x 365 days. Pffft big deal.
I never thought he would make it, totally thought he was going to burn out.
He has proven me sooooo wrong.
And he is a really friggin nice guy. Always chatty when skinning at stowe.

3 M and he's still going!
Does he Dolphin turn?
Very impressive stuff, in a niche nerd type of way. Looking forward to seeing where he ends up…..
He's back at Alta. Looked like he pulled a toe piece off a pair of skis.
They were leaned up against the back of his truck. Musta grabbed another pair and kept skiing.
It's like the untra runners who set up a half mile cone course in a parking lot in Tennessee and run 100 miles. Insane. But interesting
Definitely not the same as an ultra running race.
First and foremost, it’s skiing so infinitely cooler than any type of running![]()
Can attest the dude loves skiing.
The 3 Million feet (and counting) did include some damn good turns on fun terrain.

In case anyone else is interested, here's his strava:

He overtook me twice yesterday as I did one lap, at the bottom and top of my climb. When i saw him I thought it was just some fit XC skier or randonee skier getting exercise. I then realized it was him and that I'm completely ignorant on how small and skinny your skis will be to tackle 3 million vert in a year.
Needs to man up to trekkers, 13# igneous i-beams and plug boots.
This is insane... is his body okay? Seems like this is bordering on dangerous? I remember Aaron Rice was pretty fucked up afterwards... for several months.
His final day today. Over 3.5 million vertical feet of climbing. A bunch of people showed up to hike with him. Pretty amazing.
Jesus.
I would think like Aaron Rice his fellow Vermonter, he will go in a completely different direction after this. Pretty insane accomplishment.
A former touring partner was an ultra runner. Former because both hips required surgery and he doesn’t uphill anymore
