    Tangerine Singletrack

Vibrant doesn't adequately describe the colors in Logan Canyon. Tangerine seems to come close -- it looks best when it's whizzing past you in flourescent tracers on the singletrack.

Stoy headed into a tangerine dream.

Stoy: always patiently waiting for me to catch up.

Here's a short video I shot Sunday. Get out and get some color!

Sardine canyon is a joy to drive thru 2 times a day. The reds this year are amazing.

Yeah, there was lemon, tangerine, orange, plum, and some lime.

We rode Mud Flats, Mill Hollow, some of Emphraim's cutoff and (one other, the name escapes me?). Trails are in decent shape except where the cows rampaged. We need to schedule a trail maintainance crew party to cut some downed trees though.

I'm in Puerto Vallarta February 11-18, maxin' and relaxin'.

Take atleast one or two nights and get on a boat (1hr. ride) south to Yelapa. It is a small, secluded, roadless beach with beach side lodging available. You can rent a palapa on the beach, have dinner on the beach every night, and avoind the crowds of Vallarta.

It is popular with day trippers from Vallarta, but at night you have the place to yourself.

The place is sooooo friggin beautiful. We went there on a paragliding trip and loved it.

Stand by for similar TR from Boulder canyon...

I forgot about fall in my contemplation of the Rockies. It really REALLY is beautiful. Naked aspen trees, half-naked golden aspen trees, fully dressed green aspen trees. All three so magical.

    Way to giv 'er.

    Nice!

We need to back that one again this winter. I want the steep, southwest-ish line down into the bowl. We could session that ridge all day...

However, I will not be lulled into the east-facing chute that Trackhead calls the Z-chute, that drops down into the bowl underneath the cornice off Cherry Peak. That line looks excessively gonzo, even if you didn't have a cornice the size of a trailer home hanging over you the whole time.

Not to worry. That cornice hanging over IS NOT Z GULLEY. I confirmed that with Toby. It is actually further down the ridge. So no worries.

Looking forward to touring up there with you two bozo's, if I'm still allowed in the range not being local and all.

You're not local either, you moved away. So it will still be two bozo's.
    Bozo.

Well, that's good to hear (about Z-gully)

Yes, you're welcome to tour in the BR Range, but you have to carry all my shit.

Get some "lighter shit", and I'd be happy to carry some of it.

You can start with a pair of 178cm Bro's mounted with some sexy Dynafits.

we stood atop the entrance last season. to one side, a 30 foot overhanging cornice, the other side, a 40 foot overhanging cornice. If anything were to rip, it would bring you with it

and the entrance is a no fall zone. we didn't ski it because it was icy as can be. Satisifed with the corn on the other side

    Bozo.
I am back in Cove as of Oct 15, so Local Bozo once again.

So that makes it three Bozos and a "visitor bozo".

(and of course I will carry some beer with me too)

    Can't have brats without beers.

Edit: hmmm, can we go up one side and down into High Creek? Then wifey can pick us up as I will be 10 minutes from the trailhead, thinking out loud.

I have to say I love the TR feature on this site, that is a fucking beautiful video. Really made me want to be there...

I'll see if I can put together a TR of my next season in France for sometime next May (should be quite a large one). I'll probably get more blase about them as I see more and more of them but pretty much every one I have seen so far has been awesome, so I thought I'd chip in with this...

Hey thanks! I really like capturing these little trips on video. They're fun to film, don't take too much time, and they're fun to share.

I look back through them and they get me excited to go out and do stuff. I watch them with my son and he really likes them too.

    Glad to share!

And I look forward to seeing your TR. It's so interesting and inspiring to see what people are doing out there.

Yeah, you can ski down into High Creek. How far you get will depend on the snowpack, but I think you could get pretty far down before you have to start hiking/walking. When Trackhead and I were there you would have had a pretty long hike.

I think Stoy did this last winter. Prepare for a lot of work. You may want to leave those beers at the house to enjoy when you get back.

How about this bozo just follows for a while to learn the ropes better.

I remember you and I up at the Beaver Ponds looking at some "looks doable" lines down and it was late, we were in shorts, but the lake was still frozen.

Again, just thinking. I know you guys will blow me away with some of the stuff you want to do and I will go on the tours that you don't care as much that I am slower.

edit: just watched the video, looks like a nice ride and good to see Yoda is still holding on for dear life.
