we upcycle them into bespoke chairs and fences.
or drop them at the dump and then something happens to them.

Sunday River as well. I'm half surprised neither went for an 8:55 opening just to be first.

I'm currently in Colorado, been checking weather every morning and the last two days the Loaf summit has been colder than the Loveland Basin station. That's progress.

Ima hike/skin up Magic to ski the newly laid down snow. Yes, Magic has skiable snow. Not to the bottom but this is groundbreaking early for Magic.

Will post pics of the overhead blower

    Or something...

Wtf happened to the soup pics?
Only reason I frequent yer thread this time of year.
And the fact that y'all are cordial...

Posting cuz I'm gonna be at the bottom of the LCC again this winter.
    Wasn't so certain last month.
Threatened to cum back east last year when yer season started out well...
And know that maggots are welcome to crash here to ski the LCC or the BCC.
Y'all can repay when global warming forgets 'bout itself and I think of coming east again.
Long as you casted yer vote proper.
    Jimmy

    In other news...

It was a beauty of a day, eh?

My inquiries into whether or not people would get their panties in a twist if I shreded the pow at Magique were met with a surreptitious "go for it but don't hurt yourself"

So we took the covert way up the hill

The snow was not contiguous to the bottom but looking from the cross trail to TR looked promising

I'm definitely not on my A-game this early because I completely forgot to pack a Sunshine Corner beer or herb. Fack me. Off I went with no buzz on. The 4-wheeler ruts were a bit interesting. The snow was actually ok considering I was on BC105s with edges that would not slice butter.

My colleague in not-a-crime, Lane Meyer, decided not to haul his skis up since his touring rig weighs about 85 pounds. He hoofed it down as I was doing multiple transitions from snow to dirt and met me about 3/4 of the way down. He caught me sliding around a bit. I was able to actually link 10+ turns on a couple of the longer patches.

Earliest I've ever skied at Magic. Lane and I skied on Thanksgiving day a few years back on fast grass but this sets a new bar. All in, it was a good day.

And Mrs. MNIAW had prepared corn chowder for my return.
