Hidden Beach is good but not easy access. After Oct 15, Ski Beach in Incline is what you're looking for.

You didn't specify north west or north east but if convenience for letting your dog off is your priority then Patton's Landing (aka Waterman's Landing) is the spot. If you're looking for more of a place to hang out at or want quiet then Lake Forest Beach is great. Bonus points for pickign up baked goods at Sugar Pine Bakery.

That is probably true. I know they have been planning implementation of that for a few years now. I know the people who runs the mammoth black and she has be giving input on that idea for years. Coming soon to all ikon resorts.
