Up Mt Rose summit way yesterday. Was above 40 by noon at 8500'. anywhere in the trees was effected by the trees radiating, grabby. Snow was starting to toast. North facing open areas still held good, somewhat dry snow, but generally need better temps and more snow now most places.

The radar for this morning/afternoon’s frontal passage suggests the snow level was around 9k. It never rained at the base of alpine as far as I know and was snowing heavily to 6,500’ when I left.
I was very impressed with the snow at rose summit yesterday I thought it skied great. 3” on top of styrofoam. Dog hated it

Does the downstairs bathroom at Alpine smell like an open sewer yet?

    That's a heck of a day 1!!

I'm on day 15 and my legs are coming around, finally. We ended the day at 37 miles and 27k according to Strava. The entire afternoon we had two 10 year old girls with us. We're building little monsters. They crushed it.

Just saw on LiftBlog that Comet lift at HV had a chair slide back and hit the chair behind it, dumping peeps on the ground.

Headwall opened for the season yesterday, 12/22. The snowcats clearly pushed a ton of snow around to build the bottom ramp and creek crossing.

Broken Arrow was open a couple days too so basically everything going at PTOV except Silvy. Me likey!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Feliz Solstice yall

    Me like too.

Too bad all that rain last night though, the Headwall ramp was looking pretty beat by the end of today.

Yeah. Pretty brutal. Hopefully everyone is OK.

Skiing was highly OK today. Scored a core shot for me and the bigger boy.

Fun riding Headwall for the first time of the season.

This is eerily reminiscent of a chair slide back at Blackcomb in the 90's

    Found the accident at WB

    Dang Mike, Merry Merry.
If we were in town I'd swing by and spread some cheer, or something tasty that rhymes with cheer at least.

I would assume crescent is good to go. Long rock in the exit and the entrance might be nasty or even undoable. Upper elevations are fairly stacked though. If not then the diagonal chute lookers left should be

Dang whut? I don’t xmas so I usually try to work so that people that do can have the day off. We are open every day of the year. And I don’t drink, but the boys always appreciate the cheer.

    feliz navidad
