Who actually knows how to mount a monoski?!?!

Ok then, found the White Knuckle monoski I needed (thanks Jet123!) and got some bindings for it. And now I realize I have no earthly idea of how to mount this damn thing. I have a jigarex and usually mount my own stuff, but this is baffling. How wide? How close to the edge? For aft? How the fuck does this work?

Anybody got any help for me?

No idea. Just spitballing. I see two methods.

    Even spaced:
    - At the mount point - find the left/right “fourth-points” ie; centerline of each half.
    - run a line up and down the ski at each forth-point - parallel to overall ski center - this being the center of each boot.

    Referenced to a traditional ski:
    - Determine a similar width traditional ski - “Is this mono supposed to ski like a 95 class ski or a 115 class ski?”
    - Measure base edge to CL of binding (at the mount point) of that reference ski. Apply that to the mono.

Real question - Do you want to mount duck footed?

You could use the above template as a base and paste your specific binding templates onto it, following the left and right center lines.

Looks pretty straightforward, along with cutting the inside brake arms.

Been over a decade since I've mounted one, but the two I've done both had boot center lines marked on the ski, and they ran parallel with the edge (duck-footed). They were both old school, so very tapered in the tail. New ones with a more regular sidecut might benefit from mounting in line, who knows. Ask White Knuckle.

Deathvan's diagram above is showing how you measure your heel spacing; buckle your boots up as normal, stand on a flat surface and bring them together until they just touch, probably the upper cuff or medial ankle rivet, measure the distance between the casting lines on the shells. That's your minimum distance between boot center lines so your shit ain't running in to itself. Feet need to be close together but you need a small amount of wiggle room so you don't destroy your cuffs/liners. Your knees will move outward as you flex in to your boot unless you're in one of like three boots on the market or have some serious bootfit fuckery going on, so you don't need a ton of room.
