Kids boots: alpine toe with GW heel okay?

If I use alpine toe blocks and GW heel blocks on my soon-to-be 6 year old's ski boots, is she going to die?

-She has brand new boots have interchangeable GW or alpine sole blocks.
-She's using hand-me-down skis with ancient kids alpine bindings (Atomic / Fischer 0.75-4 DIN kind of things). Like she still charts out at 1.25 release setting.
-I already checked the fit with both sets of sole blocks, and the friction on the GW toes was a total no-go. AFD feels fine with the alpine toes.
-The GW heel blocks look to have identical height to the alpine heel blocks.

We live in an area where the parking lot can get really shitty with ice. So I'm thinking, a little extra grip on the heels is a good thing and shouldn't affect upward release in the binding. And again we are talking 1.25 release setting.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks mags.

It’s the set up i use to get a little bit more ramp angle. I don’t think she’ll die if she uses it, though she may end up liking more ramp angle than most boots have today.

GW heels and Alpine ‘should’ be the same. Don’t think it does anything to ramp- but idk about the compatibility in an old binder.

    This.

My kid loves Fulltilt boots and they still have plastic toes. Some of his falls have been spectacular. I've been getting him to wander with Yaktrax. I even started using them with my Grip Walk boots because I was smoking the Sky Walk (Atomic Hawx) soles in the parking lot.

    Thanks for the thoughts folks.

    I’ll proceed as planned.

BTW, as I stated, the alpine and GW heel blocks on the boots (Dalbello Menace 1 buckle) are the same outer dimensions - so the ramp won’t be different between either heel. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything in my thinking: it’s an upward heel release so the boot-brake interface material shouldn’t really make a difference. Maybe you could argue that the compressibility of the GW heel could lead to slightly different release characteristics from the alpine heel, but we are talking DIN 1.25 release.

When I’m past the point of using mag hand me down skis, yeah we’ll be running GW clamps I’m sure. GW seems to be poised to take over as the non-race standard for kids and adult resort boots and bindings.
