I had never heard this story and it's certainly a good one. Got curious and found this article that says that both men dispute that the altercation happened.

I also had no idea (maybe forgot) that Toby Keith is dead. I certainly never enjoyed his music but that's beside the point. /shrug.

I don't think he was a West Point grad (at least it's not in his wiki), but he was asked to teach at West Point.

Still, his life reads like fiction: summa cum laude from Pomona, Rhodes Scholar, Army Ranger, helicopter pilot, just crazy.

And he was the one to support/console Sinead O'Connor when she was getting booed off the stage at the Dylan concert, because everyone thought she was a terrible person, when years later we would find out she was 100% justified/correct.

Don’t know why I thought he was a USMA grad. I remember hearing that from a West Pointer and took it as gospel because as any USMA grad will tell you, they’re never wrong.
