Scarpa Mobe (I know they're old!) Best bindings to pair?

    Hey everyone, been a while...

I just picked up some NOS Scarpa MOBE, they fit my foot amazing. I know they had a really solid following when they were released. Coming from Garmont Adrenelines, so they feel way more versatile :-) Problem is I wanted to pair them with Fritschi Tecton 12, but the toe seems to hit the bumper and give crappy range of motion when clipped in(kind of weird). I thought about filing them, but want to be able to ski the freeride pros I still have on my rock skis....

Thoughts on a binding to pair with these? call it 60/40 backcountry/resort. Resort skiing a lot with my kids...but they rip.

Ski will be first year of the renamed G3 Boundary 100, so technically the Roamr100.

P.S. coming from 20 years of hard tele skiing, but broke my foot right at the pivot point a couple years ago and it kills me after about 65 days into the season...so have converted for touring to AT pretty muc full time, and a good majority on the hill too..

Personally I would trim the rubber to work with the Tectons and then get a cheap used DIN alpine boot for inbounds and riding with kids. Rubber touring soles and inbounds riding (even in a frame binding) is somewhat sketchy and the power transfer is notably worse.

I still ski my Mobes but have relegated them to touring only. They seem to work fine with the Vipec. Best fitting boots I ever owned.

When I was skiing inbounds with them, I used the Attack AT bindings (I think they are now called Attack MN). One thing I noticed with those bindings, I had to add about 2 numbers to my heel DIN (7.5 toe/9.5 heel) or I would walk out of them if I buried a tip into a mogul. Not sure if that was the binding/boot interface or something else but it happened on 3 different sets of the bindings.

IME any AT boot ( Vulcan and Xena) with a vibram sole used in a frame AT binding is going to need the DIN turned up by at least 1 and it was usually just the heels

My theory is the rubber compressing and springing back adds to the energy you exert on the binding

It doesnt happen with a DIN alpine sole cuz plastic doesnt compress

I spent 4 plus seasons in mobe for chairlift skiing. Loved em. Friend won them in a race and sold em to me for 75$.
