She has a Dalbello alpine boot and a Dynafit touring boot, don't know the model but it is superlight. Just a simple AFD height adjustment?

The model is critical. Many if not most of the light Dynafit boots have a non-standard sole (doesn't meet ISO 9523 standard dimensions) and so cannot be used in the Shift for downhill skiing. So she could ski down in the Dalbello but not up and go up in the Dynafit but not down . . .

Is the new Shift available yet for retail? The 1.0's are dirt cheap now, but I think I'd like to go 2.0 (I've had two pairs if 1.0's with fiddly AFD's).

Yes, picked a set up in Jackson. Some shops haven’t gotten them in yet though.
