anyone ever DIY a Volkl-style skin tip adapter like their Vwerks or BMT skins?

I need new skins and would like to keep using the hole in the tip of the ski versus a traditional loop style. Volkl used to do them on several models, K2 uses a similar 'hook'.
Anyone know if those are available as spare parts, or DIY yourself something that worked for you well enough to recommend?

Not sure if any of these would work but lots of hardware here https://skimo.co/skin-parts

Personally I like the trab tips which let you rip from the tip like a race ski

I have the volkl skins and the tip connector is not all that. Sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling to get it out. Cutting a slot as a starting point is probably better.
