Here is an interesting article about that, and the swastikas on prominent display at the Montana Club in Helena. Regardless of the history, I find them to be unsettling.

The swas is pervasive in Hindu temples in India. It wish it was reclaimed and not still “owned” by the Nazis. The rising sun flag is still around and no one has an issue w that so objectively the swas should be treated the same. But not gonna happen

The rising sun flag in Japan is basically like flying a Confederate flag. Koreans don't care for it much either: https://www.theinertia.com/surf/jack...ter-complaint/

But I agree, it would be nice if the Hindus could take back their religious symbol

Ya know .... Hindu Nationalists aren't exactly angels. One might even say they have some Nazi tendencies.

Tru but there are plenty that aren’t nationalist. At any rate the swas has nothing to do with nationalism anywhere. I don’t recall them using it in that way either

Hindu nationalists actually tried to align with the Nazis during WWII. Whole enemy of my enemy is my friend type of deal.

Does the confederate flag comparison fit with the Japanese navy still using it? The rising sun is a cool design and existed before WWII. Shame it's tainted.

If you're riding your toolbox in the Olympics, then yes.

    Cool sticker though

OP, are you in Petaluma? Some losers handed my Mom some flier that I think was Great Replacement Theory bullshit. I'm glad I wasn't there to try to escalate the situation. Not only did her father come back traumatized by WWII in Europe, but we are very Jewish looking. My Mom literally rocks a Jewfro. Racists are so dumb they don't even know what Jewish people look like when there's a stereotype in front of them. Maybe if my Dad was there, they wouldn't have done anything. He has a very big nose (because he broke it twice).
    No longer stuck.

If you're not familiar with David Holthouse's reporting on this subject I strongly recommend checking it out. There's a lot more of these fucking people among us than we realize.

Today I was at work, using aerial photography to try to identify pollution sources and came across a swastika burned into someone’s backyard

Sorry but the nazis stole that; for all intents and purposes, it’s called a swastika. That’s common nomenclature for that hateful suymbol since the 1940s

So, sounds like you found the source.
