Pretty cool to see Killington return to independence. Powdr is only keeping Snowbird, Copper, and the Woodward brand.

My local hill, Silver Star, is up for sale.... will be interesting to see what happens.
www.skevikskis.com Check em out!
Interesting times. I don't follow this close, or even know if there has been turnover in the past. But if a sale goes through on an "IKON" resort, they pretty much HAVE to honor that for the coming year, correct?
Any idea as to the sales price and what Killington was earning?
Gimme five, I'm still alive!
Ain't no luck, I learned to duck!
Weird stuff. Collapse? Seems odd.. whatever
Hmm, Bachelor going back to indie...?
Where did you see that? Because I saw this: "And in 2014, Colorado-based Vail Resorts orchestrated what amounted to a hostile takeover of Park City Mountain Resort, which POWDR had operated for 20 years (a POWDR representative told The Storm that “there is no lasting animosity” between the two companies, and that Vail Resorts was welcome to bid on the available ski areas)."

Killington sold to local rich skiers.
I <heart> hot tele-moms
apparently, locality trumps net worth.
fact.
I guess anything is possible for the right price but I have some intel that John Cummings won’t sell to those companies. He particularly hates Vail for how the PCMR hostile takeover played out, that one still hurts especially since he lives in PC…..

I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up Eldora or Batchelor.
And what better way to screw them over than to charge them far more than the actual value?
Bachelor doesn’t have real estate development potential
So…maybe not the hot property in Vail Corp’s profit vision
