Is there a market for skin tools? I've got piles of G3 and Pomoca (among others) ones I'd sell for money.

There shouldn’t be, a razor blade will do a better job than any of them

Bummer. The old Empire 115 was a great ski. Didn’t hurt that I was featured on the graphics whilst doing a spraffy in a Florida Marlins bomber jacket (on the Doglotion edition).

Still have my El Hombres mounted tele, they still ski well and have been incredibly durable- I think they were made in the same factory as Movement back in the late 2000s, Tunisia sounds right.
Hated the targas once I found hammerheads.
Ions had a really fantastic toe piece- durable, super easy to step into and easy to clear ice from using a ski pole. The heel piece was annoying to use with a brake but still better than dynafit radicals.
Their twin tip tail connector was a useful add on to other companies' skins for voile skis.

As much as I dislike PM Zoolander and his economics policies (or lack there of) I'm pretty sure a lot of this is from internal decisions.

    G3 Dead?

As one who is annoyingly sensitive to ramp angle…zeds are dope. Hope they don’t break, but I have them on white walkers and I love it as a bc setup

I’m quick to talk [emoji90][emoji90] about products I dislike, but I never like seeing ski companies go under. Hope the employees land on their feet
    wait!!!! waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait...Wait!

Same. Radicals needed too much spacer so I wouldn’t feel like a drunk sailor on land. Prefer my Zeds so much better.

maybe they wana give up on skis and find some skin glue that works, the skins were actualy ok except for the glue failure which seemed kind of ubiquitous ?

Ze guide was on empires and I think they were good for him and of course the spraffy was awesume but my buddy the BC ski store owner in BC thot all the G3 skis sucked so did his kid the ski racer and G3 was not a seller for shop bro had to be tough for the rep when nobody wanted to buy his skis

Anyone made a purchase directly from G3 since they booted up again? I have liked the ION 12 - easy to deploy climbing aids, and the ski crampon can be installed/uninstalled with the ski on. Have 100+ days on a pair with no issues.

They seem to making a comeback - at least they started sending me emails again.

Yup. On the g3 thread identical to this one but on the ski snowboard forum I posted that g3 recently replaced my broken pole. CS has been responsive to emails. Hope the orange foolius doesnt make their recovery harder.

G3 has always intrigued me. A lot of their stuff is super solid but not stuff they could make headlines with and sell a ton of new units every season, and nothing bling enough like ATK or pivots to get a fanboy following and the ensuing unlimited money tap. I have a few pairs of their alu via poles, which are just really well thought out adjustable poles that have proven to be pretty durable. Same with the Zed12s, they're not the flashiest but they are easy to live with and reliable and I think that's the most important thing to have in a touring binding. I still have an old pair of their Sendr skis which is a surprisingly capable and strong ski. Sad they discontinued it
