Local guy is "sponsored" by this company so I've fondled them quite a bit when helping him with his boots and skis. I don't have a lot of background on the company but they seem well built. The liners were pretty standard for similar price point boots and would likely need replacing fairly quickly. They are very heavy for a touring boot and would be best used for slack or sled skiing imo. The skier described the 130 as being super stiff... but he was coming off using a Zero G Tour Pro as for 100% of his inbounds skiing so I don't trust that too much. I've heard from someone else that it is similar to an 8 on the FT scale. Having another Cabrio boot out there isn't a bad thing but I have a hard time seeing why any stores that carry K2, Dalbello or Roxa would bring this brand in. The Roxa R3 130 is likely similar stiffness but light enough to actually tour in.
Fit wise they seem to be higher volume and run shorter than the R3 130s and K2s I am familiar with. But take these notes with a grain of salt as I have not done any fit work on it personally... only helped the same skier out in finding another boot to actually tour in.
there is a review on the site from someone using a k2 team recon 140 and they say these are stiffer feeling than that. So i definitely can see what your friend said about them being so stiff. They don’t really claim them to be touring boots even though they have tech fittings. I think that’s just more for the occasional uphill use. Definitely interested in checking them out in person.
these look very much like atomics with cabrio.
swing your fucking sword.
It has more cuff overlap than a traditional cabrio. It’s an old Solly Ghost with a walk mode. It’s a Scarpa Quattro that doesn’t fall apart (theoretically…).
