FL is going to have the usual issue of players trying to cash in. Bennett and the rat probably looking for big pay days. I think Ekblad will need a new contract too.

evdog, that is some pretty damn good insight there. I do not disagree with anything you said and feel better informed. It certainly continues to be not easy being a Flames fan. I have the double horse hair shirt in that I also root for the Sask Riders.

I think part of Tkachuk leaving was he wanted to be in the US, covid stranded him in Calgary away from his family and friends. He's still not captain in Florida, so I would hope that wasn't a sticking point. It's funny hearing a Flames fan complain about Marchand, he's been killing the leafs year after year which is all I hear about on the east coast.
