I don't think Outlaws fits the personality of this team, nor the state of Utah. (I'm aware of Utah's history with Butch Cassidy, etc.)

Not to mention the god-awful AI generated logos people have been submitting.

I was going to vote on Wednesday, but the lines for the tablets to vote were ridiculous. Might do it tonight if I get there early enough.

At least Wasatch was the one name that wasn't directly stolen or excessively similar to a CO team name.

Canucks traded Miller in one deal for Chytil and a first, +/- pieces, and then traded the 1st to Pittsburgh with a couple others for M Pettersson. Canucks fans are predictably outraged about both deals.

Some of the comments online have been gold though:

    Need that crucial third Pettersson.

ALL YOUR PETTERSSONS ARE BELONG TO US

They did it. They finally topped the Swedish twins with Swedish triplets.

The trade that shocked me was Rantanen. I guess it was about money, although Rantanen said he would take less. And maybe as an UFA in a few months they decided not to take a chance. Still, wasn't he the Avs goal leader at the time? Seems like a chance worth taking for a cup.

Ottawa fans booed the US anthem and the Sens are destroying the Wild, it's 6-0 and the shots are 51-15. FIFTY ONE https://bsky.app/profile/cjzero.bsky.../3lh5z4gczu22v

I really wonder if that's just his agent telling him to save face. By some accounts he had a good offer that would have made him the highest paid wing in the game. Letting him walk would have been ruinous for the organization. Paying him 14M and then paying Makar in couple of years would have meant half their cap was basically 3 guys. The best playoff teams roll 4 lines, and you can't do that when too much cap space is too few players. The Avs got a really good player in Necas, and Drury already has a couple of goals and looks like a good physical presence in front of the net. Plus a couple of picks, and a bit of salary cap space. It sucks, but I think it was the right move. If they pull off another move with that new cap space, it will be an even better move.

First couple games of the Four Nations tourney were fun to watch. I bet it will only get better as some of the lines jell. Go USA

I've been enjoying this more than the stupid all star game. Watching that first game though it appears Canada's first line is gonna be really tough to hold off. Watching mcdavid,Mackinnon, and makar together is freaking amazing!

I hope it's Canada - US in the finals. That was a fun game to watch for sure. I am surprised how little time Marchy got. The guy is a firecracker and makes shit happen. Of course I am biased as a B's fan.

Both Tkachuk bros are injured. Or just scared to show up for the final game?

McAvoy was a beast in game 2 but being out for the final might give Canada the edge, especially if Makar is back in the lineup.

Yeah, this is interesting if any injury or future injury takes a guy out for a while or the season. If so, I don't see this coming back. These guys are going hard compared to an all star game

Good news for Detroit though--Bruins and Senators being with the Wings on the playoff fringe.

Agree! Let’s keep Larks healthy and they could be in a great place after tonight to earn a spot given the roster issues of the others.

Same goes for the Utah Hockey Club! Only Mataa played so they are now rested AND healthier than ever. May be a chance to sneak in which will be great to see some playoff hockey live in SLC

Wings come to town on March 24. Looking forward to that game! Hanging out for it before heading to Sun Valley to hopefully watch Mikaela, Paula, RCS and Ben in the technical events.

    This aged well.

The US players, like you, certainly showed they can talk the talk.
