2024-2025 NBA thread: who wants to buy a Duck Boat?!?!

It’s a bummer that game 7 went that way. it’s surprising to see so much hate online today for Tyrese, especially with that brutal injury. I was rooting for the pacers in this series and it absolutely would’ve been a different game without his injury.

For whoever was asking about streaming the Celtics, ( I won’t bother quoting ), I get the nba league pass strictly to watch the Celtics, but I’m out of network in wayyy upstate NY, but almost every game is on nesn, except when they are on ABC, ESPN, etc. and some are on NBC sports Boston. it’s always the same announcers which is cool and you get to watch the whole halftime show with the crazy unicycle plate flipping lady. So if you can just get nesn, you’re in

I saw a lot of “oh boo hoo” about Haliburton today… do people not like to be entertained? Guy gets tagged most overrated player by his peers then goes on an all time clutch tear through the East. I thought it was pretty damn fun and was so sad to see him hurt like that. These playoffs would have sucked after the first round without him.

Hali had a hell of a playoffs, I loved seeing who’s jersey Reggie would be rocking at the games. Last night was Chris Mullin

Fun series, fun playoffs, hell of a run Indy had. Their style may not be for everyone but I sure like to watch it.

Almost every game up through the 1st round of the playoffs has been on NBC Sports Boston in the past.

All these dudes wear "low" sneakers anymore....you hardly see high-tops. Wouldn't they provide more support? Old man talking here, I just don't remember seeing Achilles injuries 20-30 years ago

I don’t know if lack of high top shoes are the culprit but it does seem interesting the increase in Achilles injuries in the NBA…. Hali’s injury was heartbreaking.

As for the recent trades, I think Boston made out like a bandit in the Jrue-Simons trade. Jrue is a better defender but Anfernee Simons is a real nice player and is 9 years younger.

I think Houston gave up a lot for Durant. Durant certainly elevates the rockets, but probably not enough to make it out of the west.

Looking forward to more trades in the coming days leading up to the draft.

Low tops + support braces are far less injury prone than traditional high tops (just ask Steph). Volleyball players use the same and it's actually required now.

If there isn’t a resident OKC mag I can take up the task as a Pacers fan.

Porzingis shipped off to Atlanta and we’re under the second apron now. I’m reading a lot of talk about trading Brown, I don’t like it at all.

Trade Brown??? WTF??? I guess Boston won't win it all again until 2040, right? Every 16 years, 2008, 2024, etc.

NBA draft - hoping my sixers draft back, get a decent player plus the duke center......they'll get another guard though probably. East is wide open next year. West will beat themselves up again.

Cavs sit tight as the East looks to be in collective rebuild mode?

I don’t understand the Brown rumors. Boston moving guys to get under the second apron makes sense given current circumstances but why would they mess with their trio of Tatum, Brown and White?

Really sorry to see KP go, when he was on the team was on another level. But he was an expensive luxury.

Well, sometimes rumors are just rumors, ie fake. But he's being paid a fortune and people have always complained that he wasn't worth it. And they may want to get out of the luxury tax entirely, dunno. If the rumors are true, they would surely be taking someone back who is good.

In any event, Brad Stevens has proven to be a wizard so I'll trust in him.

Kornet is an unrestricted free agent. Al isn't on that list either.
