    Unpasteurized Apple Cider is the Shiznit

    I bought 4 gallons of it after apple picking today... sooo good. mmmmm...

    I remember an incident involving myself and a quart of the straight cider. It was 106 and I had been outside all day. The dude at the farmers market must have been selling the devil's drink, sooooo good and cold on the way down, so terrible in half an hour. My ass burned for 45 minutes straight.
    I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

    Here's the shit. 2 gallons of non-filtered Apple Juice,1 fifth of Everclear and some Cloves. Heat Apple Juice to a boil with Cloves let cool then add Everclear. They call it Apple Pie. This stuff will kick your ass. I make it every fall just before ski season a real tailgate pleaser.

    My apples are almost ripe and I have my own cider press. Drink it up.

    Haven't decided if I'll try hard cider again, wasn't 100% satisfied last year and I think I'd rather plant a few cider specific varieties...plus we have a much smaller crop this year.

    It's possible, though the orchards we went through while apple picking (the same ones they get the apple cider from) were pretty well kept up and there were no livestock to be seen. Maybe some bird poop or something...

    So far I've consumed almost 2 gallons in three days... not sick yet, so it's probably OK.
