    Want your silverton feedback

Anyone got change for a nickle? As winter approaches I am interested in any feedback, both bad and good from this gang. During the winter we get so slammed that we can't really absorb and/or properly reply to skier concerns as we would like to.

We truly can't exist without hardcore skiers likle yourselves, so if you feel like sharing please send me a PM. PM's only please, so I can try to reply to the responses (no guarantees I can reply to all however, as I have to battle a frivolous tresspass lawsuit in the next two weeks but I will try my best).

Just to head off some potential questions, NO WE HAVE NOT YET BEEN APPROVED FOR UNGUIDED SKIING. We anticipate the permit shortly (in government time), but it will be too late to change anything for this winter. We still want to offer unguided skiing options, but the earliest we can get it going once we get the permit, would be April 2006. Let's hope for the best. Perhaps a Silverton Summit on opening day of unguided skiing?

Make a post when you need people for the early season boot-pack. You can get a lot of help from people here I would think.

Had a great time there about two years ago. Snow wise, there was some goods to be had but it was turning hot that day, so I guess we got lucky as far as timing. Tent/lodge wise- don't waste your money. We came for the mountain (little treat on the way home after CB event) I had a great time with our guide. He was awesome and accomodating for our group. I just got tired of the pow farming. I understand why, and I do and don't agree with the policy. Perhaps unguided will solve that but who knows. I would certainly be back if I lived closer.

Just keep going with what you are doing and the support is really there. Trust me. And I loved the creek gap built in the summer!!! Maybe even keep it for the winter????
    Thank you either way!

    Hi Aaron,

Please tell Jen I said hi and I hope you guys are really enjoying the married life.

I'll be heading that way to bootpack this year and will try to bring some peeps along.

Sorry about the lawsuit garbage. I've read some articles about it. Sucks.

I've already commented on the operation a number of times. Skiing at Silverton was part of the breakthrough time I needed to feel comfy in pow. I want you guys to succeed in providing the steep and deep.

I was at Silverton a couple of years ago on a Thursday and in my 30 years of uninterupted skiing, I still consider it my best day of lift served ever. I can't wait to get back in the winter. I stopped through last week while I was camping in the area and was amazed at the change the town of Silverton is going through.

I advise that you offer free beer for jongs from Iowa whenever they visit.

Do you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?

I have gotten some great feedback so far that we will try to incorporate into our operation from everyone, but I know there is more out there. Any more PM's for me with feedback?

Hey Aaron, I shut off my PM's to keep the fukwits around here from bombarding me with hate mail, but you know my comments pretty much echo what Buster said. Lemme know if you'd like me to email the same.

Bridges across the creek would be nice. It would also be cool if customers where allowed to make bigger turns in the open bowls.

I think you should should start grooming, put in some snowmaking, build lots of condos and advertise in Texas.
